Over the years I've used cheap cork coasters, folded kitchen towels, and nothing at all under my sweaty beverage glasses. These Thirstystone Coasters are beautiful and do the job... well worth the money according to this penny pincher.

As have other reviewers, I did experience grit residue from the stone on my tables and I did find the cork bottom to be way off-center on every coaster. This was not really a surprise. And the "picture" on the stone was off center too but again I can live with it. As for the edges scratching the table, that hasn't happened to me yet though the package does warn you about the possibility. No, none of this was surprising. What was surprising was the absorbency or should I say lack of. On every one of my coasters I've found that the condensation from my glasses simply sits on top of the coaster without being absorbed! Over a period of 30 minutes or so the droplets do appear to get absorbed somewhat, but I was expecting a faster response. On a really humid day I could see the condensation from a glass overwhelming the slow absorption of the coaster and the excess spilling onto the table. It's a shame, but these are a bit of a disappointment....

These are GREAT!! I had others similar to these. They were not as heavy, didn't soak up the moisture, and broke very easily.
These are heavy, durable and Pretty. I will buy more, if I ever need to that is.

We have plain sandstone coasters and we love them. I liked this design so I purchased a set. The color of the design is lovely. We just got them so I don't know how well the design detail will hold up to ongoing use. If the design holds up I'll change my review to 4 stars.

Sandstone is very absorbent which is key in the summertime when every drink you have is sweating. I've only managed to soak through these once, and that was when I got a big glass of ice water and forgot about it.

The cork on the bottom protects your furniture and also acts as a little bit more of an absorptive barrier.

I love dragonfly items and these are so pretty and BONUS....they work! Price was ok and one was slightly cracked on arrival but we glued it and you can't tell.

So when I saw these coasters I had to have them. They are excellent quality. I have owned them for several months and as you can see I gave them a five star rating. All the service in shipping was as promised.

These coasters are great. Immediately absorbs any condensation of glasses. They are beautiful on the table. I'm planning on ordering another set.

Functional.

You'll need to get them really clean, you know, get all the sandstone particles off so they feel smooth, and don't scratch. Then, they work better than cork coasters -- well, I got them when it was turning cool, so we'll really see in summer, with humidity turning the outside of glasses into mini waterfalls.

But, I'm really amazed at how they absorb.

I just wish the colors were more brilliant -- dull compared to the picture here.
