This review is from: Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack] (Audio CD)
The soundtrack to the DL movie rules, especially if you are a fan of folk music.

This is how soundtracks are supposed to be made,
This review is from: Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack] (Audio CD)
If you saw the animated movie and liked the music, you'll like this soundtrack. It contains all the music (as far as I can tell) from the movie without any changes or 'remixes'.
Too often soundtracks sound different from the movie because the composer uses shortened and/or remixed versions in the movie. This isn't one of those cases. With this soundtrack, you get to listen to the music exactly as it is used in the movie, and in my opinion, that's a five-star soundtrack.

An excellent soundtrack, I can't stop listening to it,
This review is from: Dragonlance (MP3 Download)
Unlike the animated movie it scored, this soundtrack truly stands on its own as a work of art. Karl Preusser went far and beyond what I expected, giving the characters life through their own unique themes and capturing the excitement and emotion of the original novels. Tracks like "Qualinesti Hymn" and "Sturm is Healed" are close to bringing a tear to my eye, while "Monks/Draconian Ambush" and "The Battle of Pax Tharkas" are dramatic, rousing pieces. Other standouts are the Dragonlance main theme, "Fizban's Tale," "Forestmaster/Pegasus Ride," and "Darken Wood," which has my favorite Raistlin theme (he has three!). Preusser even had plans to make the themes evolve throughout the soundtrack as the story progressed, but it's a shame that we'll likely never hear that music since I don't think any more films will be made.
Even if you aren't familiar with Dragonlance, if you like strong, stirring orchestral scores in the vein of Children of Dune or Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, get this album. Easily worth the money.
