This review is from: Dragons' Choice (Sorcha's Children) (Kindle Edition)
In "Sorcha's Heart", the story is about Sorcha, the human wizard who became a dragon for a brief time, fell in love with Caedyrn the dragon and laid a clutch of eggs. Caedyrn gave up his dragon form and became human to stay with his true love - dragons mate for life. This story is about what happened to the kids when they grew up. Their six children can choose at will to be dragon or human. They were raised by the dragon flight, but Aislinn decides to explore what it's like to live as a human. And Taran was never healthy as a dragon - maybe he's best-suited to life as a human. As they learn about life as humans, the two of them discover the differences between the species and that all humans aren't as comfortable about their dual nature as some.Unlike "Sorcha's Heart", this story is primarily paranormal romance. As such, the sexuality is more prevalent and graphic - definitely not something for the preteen or young adult market. The fantasy takes a backseat to the relationships, and even scenes which could have been developed for their fantasy plot line (such as the white stag) are allowed to languish. But the romances aren't bad, so if that is what you are looking for, then it's worth the read. |
