I have purchased a couple of books on how to draw dragons And I was looking for more good examples of dragons to draw and I found this marvelous coloring book full of unique drawings of different kinds of dragons. I found thier anatomical structures very believable and the poses very natural. This would be a good reference source also,Dragonart: How to Draw Fantastic Dragons and Fantasy CreaturesThe Art of Drawing Dragons, Mythological Beasts, and Fantasy Creatures: Discover Simple Step-by-Step Techniques for Drawing Fantastic Creatures of Folklore and LegendDrawing Dragons and Those Who Hunt ThemHow to Draw Wizards, Dragons and Other Magical Creatures as well as a nice coloring book.

I purchased this product for my 5 year old step daughter with the intent to teach her about legendary creatures and mythology (while having some fun with crayons). My initial reaction was that it was a coloring book more for older kids, and less for younger kids due to how detailed it is. She loved it, but prefers more simplistic books like "Wonderful World of Horses Coloring Book."

This is still a great book, but I would recommend it for kids 6-8 rather than 4-8. Or maybe just to adults that like to color.

My daughter loved this coloring book. The pictures are very realistic and covered many different types of dragons. She was thrilled by how artistically they were drawn.

I bought this as a present for my 10 yr old stepson who adores dragons but I might not give it to him because three of the pages are pictures of comic book style women, in super tight, low cut dresses and uber-boobs. I am uncomfortable with these depictions of women in my kids' coloring book collection. Most of the pictures are of just dragons or dragons fighting knights which are great. I just wanted others to know this before buying for thier kids if it would be an issue.

I never would've guessed my friend and neighbor, who drives a bulldozer for a living, would be the type to sit down with a coloring book but his colorings are beautiful and not juvenile at all. And he says, which also never occurred to me, that coloring is very relaxing. I never saw it that way as a kid but looking back, I guess coloring was actually relaxing. I'm very impressed with his, what I'm gonna call, artwork. He's somewhat picky about what he wants to color. The more detail in a pic to color, the better. And he's been very satisfied with the books I picked out for his birthday. He loves that the art of each of the pics to color is so detailed. He has bragged about my choices and so has anyone else who he's bragged to that I picked them out. I've never seen such beauty in a coloring book myself. I bought four of them and they all deserve the same praise so I guess I'll just copy and paste this review on each of the products.

Fantastic. These books are the best I have found to find pictures to use as templets or stencils for designs to paint on silk.

We love the dragons and the quality of the paper. I had to cut out a few of the captions, though, as they were a bit too much for my little son.

This book gives a good history on dragons as well as vivid images to let your imagination color.

I loved this coloring book! I am 41 years old and had just had my 17th surgery...I was completely imobile and going stir crazy with boredom, but on pain killers so I wasn't really able to read and/or comprehend books that I would normaly read. This coloring book let me exersize my mind and imagination a little. It arrived at my house VERY quickly and in excellent condition due to great packaging; no wrinkles or creases in the cover or pages.

I love Dover coloring books. My kids love mythical creatures. This coloring book is great (as are all Dover coloring books). Each coloring page has a wonderful, detailed picture of a dragon and then has a few sentences about that particular dragon in mythology. The pictures are of dragons, which can be a bit scary for some kids. Mine really like the coloring book. I really like the coloring book.
