Book Description

October 2005
The exciting conclusion to The Seeker's Trilogy

"The moons had risen higher now. A shape was silhouetted against the silver joining. A large shape with wings spanning the linked, twin orbs; the shadow of a great dragon, gleaming golden in the light of a billion, trillion stars, rose to hover before the moons!"

The three witches represented all that remained of the dragon race…but there was another poised to claim The Dragons’ Legacy. Is Laural powerful enough to seize her birthright, or will her dream of fighting dragons prove prophetic?

This is not your children's Harry Potter. Hang on for a ride full of adventure, dragons, and even sex. Fantasy is not exclusively for the younger set anymore!

5.0 out of 5 stars Must-read Magic, January 18, 2006
This review is from: The Dragons' Legacy (Paperback)
reviewed by Angela Wilds for fantasynovelreview.com

The Eldren, Humans, Dreyfolk, Krys and remnants of the ancient Dragon race have joined forces at last to end the threat from the Sorceress Rylinian, the Bazcal, the Ferunda and the Siinyhi. Will our heroes be strong enough to prevail and restore peace to Pretava? Join Laural, Fyn, Mikal and the rest as they experience the ravages of a war and learn the worth of peace.

Meanwhile, just to make things more difficult, mini-plots are hatching in the Kingdom of High King Willawyn. Who's up to no good now?

Ms. Reynolds has thrown in some twists, turns, knots and surprises to spice things up in The Dragons' Legacy! Book three answers all the questions posed by The Witch of Dragon Swan and The Demons of Drey, and leaves you with this question: Will there be a sequel, Trish? Maybe a Seeker's Quest, the next generation?

Once again we visit the magical, war-torn world of Pretava. We revisit the mistakes humankind brought to a pure world. We work to put to right the wrongs we've done. Hopefully, it's not too little too late! Reunite with old friends, make new ones and grieve for those lost. There's even a surprise ending! This is a must-read novel.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Dragon's Legacy, January 5, 2006
This review is from: The Dragons' Legacy (Paperback)
Omigosh ! I whole-heartedly concur with Fae Folks' review. The story cannot possibly end now. Although the battle for Pretava and Ventra Jalum is over (for now), the saga is far from over. Many loose ends definitely puts the onus on the author to follow up with a sequel (or two). I suggest (okay, I'm begging for more ...) she owes her loyal following some closure on all the characters that we have come to love or hate. She can't possibly leave us hanging like this. We have invested too much imagination and interest to be satisfied without knowing how eveyone's post war lives have turned out. Once again the author does a fabulous job of sucking you in. Once she has her hook in you, there is no getting loose. If there is a sequel (please, please, please ...) I will one of the first in line to get it. Thank you, Ms Reynolds for you wonderful books.

...it can't end like this...

The Dragons' Legacy is a super book and a fitting next in Ms Reynolds Dragon Swan series, but it can't end here.

At more than 400 pages it is the longest entry in the series. Okay, so we have all the characters back together again, fighting the evil Seer and Ferunda Guild in Pretava leaving the Eldren to the fight with the Siinyhi for Ventra Jalum. Zyalia, reunites with her kin and we follow Laural and Mykal's relationship to its conclusion. But not all ends happily ever after in this faery tale.

There are enough loose ends here to fill another book...or maybe another whole series?

I can only hope so...
