5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting first book in a new Deltora adventure.
Even though the Shadow Lord has been banished, his evil influence in Deltora lingers. There is a famine in Del, and the people are starving. Lief is trying to be a good king, but he doesn't know how to help his people. 3.0 out of 5 stars This was a very different book
This book was not like any other books I have ever read before. It is about this prince that goes out to save his land and seeks out the dragons of Deltora to help him defeat the shadow lords alliances the sisters of the East,North,West, and South. He has some friends named Randolph and Jasmine. There way is going back and forth and they have a secret enemy. I didn't like...

Even though the Shadow Lord has been banished, his evil influence in Deltora lingers. There is a famine in Del, and the people are starving. Lief is trying to be a good king, but he doesn't know how to help his people. Then he, Jasmine, and Barda discover that the Shadow Lord left behind a hidden evil -- the Four Sisters -- and that this evil is causing the famine in Del. With only a fragment of an ancient map, Lief, Jasmine, and Barda must set out on another quest to save their land. They must find the last seven dragons in Deltora to help them destroy the Four Sisters, but their quest is difficult and full of peril.

Readers who enjoyed the first two Deltora Quest series are sure to enjoy this first book in the newest Deltora series as well. I highly recommend this exciting adventure to all of Emily Rodda's many fans. I was a bit worried that a third Deltora series would be overdoing it, but after reading this book, I couldn't wait to read the next one. It's just as good as the previous two Deltora series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A new Deltora Quest series!, July 11, 2005
I got this book when it first came out and read it straight away.I absoloutely loved it and highly reccomend it.Lief is trying to be a great ruler, but can't, not with the famine and death in Deltora. But with a perilious map, our heroes set out to destroy the four sisters that are causing the deaths in Deltora. An exceptional addition to the previous books and is reccomended to fans who want a little more adventure in their reading.Well done Emily Rodda!I like this book as much as all the others, this is the best Deltora series and I say it proudly, but after all, Deltora Quets hasn't finished, not yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dragon's Nest - Another thrilling adventure, June 1, 2004
A Kid's Review
Dragon's Nest kept me hanging until the last word. Lief is back, and he's ready for action, well, sort of.An evil menace called the "four sisters" spreads across Deltora, and until Lief, Barda, and Jasmine find a torn map of Doran Dragonlover's they know nothing of this. They must stop it, and the only way is to find seven mystical dragons and travel across Deltora. And their first stop is Dragon's Nest. Will they make it?

4.0 out of 5 stars The Dragon's Have Arrived, February 5, 2005
A Kid's Review
Trust me this book is not some push over to take your cash. It's well worth it to read it! Our heroes our back for the second time on a mission to destroy the four sisters who have been poisoning Deltora's lands. But they must accomplish this Sister-by-Sister starting with the sister of the East. So they rouse the one remaining Topaz Dragon in the OS-Mine Hills whom they remember from their adventures in the "Cavern of the Fear". But he alerts them there destination is in the territory of the Ruby dragon and the Topaz dragon has sworn not to enter it. But when Lindal of Broome saves them from the Forests of Silence they hear the Ruby Dragon may not be so cooperative. Or will he? More Dragons, more things regarding gems, more guardians and more betrayals Get it all in this thriller book.

DRAGONS NEST
AUTHOR: Emily Rodda

I am going to tell you about this book's super characters: Lief {leaf} is the hero of the book; he is on his way to save his good friend Rolf. Barda is his friend whom is accompanying him on this journey, also with them is their friend Jasmin. Both Jasmin and Barda are fearlious warriors. In order to save Rolf they must slay the Ruby Dragon. As the three of them approach the dragons nest, they encounter many creatures, and a lot of obstacles. They only have one clue to the dragons nest, and that is a fragment of an ancient map, When the three of them arrive at the dragons nest, they encounter the dragon when Lief climbs down a rope and finds Rolf he speaks to Rolf for a minute and then he ties the rope around Rolf, and then Barda and Jasmin pull Rolf up. The ground starts to shake and the dragon appears up from nowhere and Lief battles the dragon and wins. The meaning of the story was Lief and his companions must reveal the origins of the sorcery and destroy them.
I really enjoyed reading this book, because it gave good discriptions of the characters, and was fun to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional!, March 27, 2005
This book is a really great begginer! I hadn't read any of the other Deltora books but when I saw these on the shelf I had to grab them! I bought 1 and 2 and they were both magical. I liked them so much I was sad when I finished but I went out and bought the first in the original Deltora series. This series is great for avid Harry Potter fans (such as I).
