5.0 out of 5 stars Innovative and catchy
I'm just about the last person on Earth who would ever listen to music like this, but during a recent trip to Poland I heard it in ALL the clubs and bars I went to and right away I really liked it. It's some of the most energetic music I've ever heard. You can dance to it for hours without feeling tired, so be careful!

3.0 out of 5 stars One of the catchiest tunes I've heard!
If you love senseless tunes every now and then like I do then Dragostea Din Tei is for you, especially if you like four different flavors of the same tune.

If you like to listen to the meaning of the lyrics behind the tunes like I do then you will be greatly disappointed, these lyrics are about as senseless as they come.

I would reccomend the...

This song caught my attention while in Europe during the summer. It's a lovely song, easy listening and contagiously spreading positive energy. I fell in love with it right away.
Upon my return, I passed on "the bug" to my grandchildren who were very surprised, to say the least, at my newly aquired musical tastes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really catchy song! Great dance/DJ music, February 12, 2005
This review is from: Dragostea Din Tei (Audio CD)
I love this song too. I had to get this CD when I discovered this song not on the radio, in a club or while in Europe but
when someone sent me a link to this Japanese Flash parody of this song - which is hillarious too :)

http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/maiyahi
and
http://page.freett.com/ikari0310/koneta.html
(the latter one is a parody of the German parody of this song, hehe).

Anyway - I recommend this one to anyone who loves dance music or just wants a catchy tune to tap away too or load onto their iPod.
5 stars!!!

These guys have been popular in Romania for a while now and it is absolutely FANTASTIC that the rest of the world is discovering them. They are one of the cleanest, most positive and just plain fun bands you're ever going to come across. Listen, sing along even if you dont know what you're saying. But most of all: dance. If you like Dragostea Din Tei (numa numa) you'll also love Despre Tine which was actually their first giant hit in Romania and won several awards from MTV Romania.

Oh... and just for those of you who were wondering: Vrei sa pleci dar nu ma (nu ma) iei means you want to leave but you wont take me.

Enjoy this music. There is a lot of great music in Romania. Anyone interested in learning more about Romania's music should visit www.transsylvania-phoenix.de

Salut, I know i'm only 11, but I know romanian and this song ROCKS! You don't even have to know romanian to hear the great sounds of this song(s). There are 4 or 5 mixes of the same song, but they are great. BUY THIS ITEM!! You'll like it!

5.0 out of 5 stars European No1, July 28, 2004

This review is from: Dragostea Din Tei (Audio CD)
It is No.1 since weeks in Germany and has been No.1 in Romania, Italy, Spain...there are some cover versions, but this is the original written by band-member Dan Balan. It's the first international hit in Romanian language and even conquered the UK Top 5 . It's pretty good - the album is too - so it's about time to conquer the rest of the world with this hit :)

5.0 out of 5 stars THE Real "Dragostea Din Tei", July 22, 2005

This review is from: Dragostea Din Tei (Audio CD)
I listened to the O-Zone recording of "Dragostea Din Tei," and the various mixes. This is the original recording of the song, not the second-rate cover by the Italian dance act, Haiducii (which ironically means "Outlaws;" they are being accused of stealing the song).
There are a couple of other mixes of this song floating around the internet, but this is by far the best recording of the song. I am hopng they come out with a sheet music version of this. My students would love to learn and perform this song in concert.
This song is catchy, good time music, and if you want to spend your money on just the single (the rest of their work is good too), this is the version to get.
