5.0 out of 5 stars availability of Dramamine, January 2, 2008
By J. Williams "Judith" (Thousand Oaks,Ca.) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
"Dramamine" is very expensive compared with the generic form, and I was able to get it through AARP Pharmacy until they merged with Walgreens. Now, only brand name Dramamine is available, and only the small containers of 10, I believe, which is even more costly because of packaging. I searched on the internet, and found the best deal through Amazon.com. Thank you, Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!, November 2, 2007
By Abe (Long Island, NY) - See all my reviews
This weekend I flew north about an hour. I got sicker as we went, until we started landing and I ended up puking over and over again in my seat and then more after we landed. It was HORRIBLE.

On my flight back down, I took two (regular) Dramamines, one about an hour before flying, and one maybe 15 minutes before take off. I was completely fine. I got up and walked to the bathroom, watched the little TV without looking at the horizon, and only felt the slightest queasiness, like riding an elevator.

This stuff works.

5.0 out of 5 stars take it before you go to amusement parks or boat trips if you tend to get sick--it really helps!, July 19, 2007
By Hedera Femme (USA) - See all my reviews

Dramamine
If you have motion sickness problems and plan to go to amusement/theme parks, take boat trips, or do anything else that might trigger the awful nausea and vertigo, don't forget to take Dramamine first! Remember that you need to take it half an hour to an hour before, so don't wait until after you get sick. Also bear in mind different dosages have different effects on each person, and since you can take 1 or 2 every 4-6 hours, too much can make you quite drowsy, and too little might cut down on the nausea and vertigo but not block it entirely, so be patient and try different quantities to see what achieves optimal results. For me, one was enough, but I got nervous I might be getting sick, so I took another; that second one did make me a bit drowsy. Also bear in mind that you shouldn't drink while taking Dramamine, so pick one (drinking or not feeling sick).
