More About the Author

I've always had an interest in the paranormal, despite a rather normal childhood in Brooklyn, NY.

I first 'met' Jason Specter a few years ago when I began to read the stories on his website, scarystatesof america.com. I have to admit I was hooked right away.

I challenged Jason to pick his favorites. I told him I'd like him to choose one story from each state. I then used my contacts in the publishing world to help get his stories into print. The result is the book: THE SCARY STATES OF AMERICA.

I hope you enjoy your journey through a world beyond that which we take for granted'the world of undead spirits, unearthly creatures, and unexplained lights in the sky. A world filled with out-of-body experiences and past lives recalled, or, as Jason likes to call this place, The Scary States of America.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Lost Woods, November 15, 2001

Although this is a helpful book, it is missing some of the most important people. It doesn't have an adult Zelda or any of the Seven Sages. It does have Saria, though. It also doesn't have any of the Zoras. It has Deku Link, but none of his other bodies. The Skull Kid isn't there, either. I don't know if you should buy it. If there is a more complete book on the way, I would wait for it. What they do have is very good, though, so if you're happy with Link and Ganon, this book is great.

3.0 out of 5 stars Way too short., April 28, 2003

What I was hoping for with this book was details. The inking was really thick, so the really fine details were hard to distinguish, making my purchase for that sake fruitless.
Also, the number of characters in the book is a piddling 13, and a number of those aren't characters, but rather monsters from Ocarina of Time. While they are marginally interesting in their own right, I think the space would be better used on more important characters.
The book's quite cheap, so you may want it as a guide to the rough proportions of a few characters. It's not worth much more than its cover price, though.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: How to Draw the Legend of Zelda (Paperback)
I like this book a lot, but foir each charecter, there are only one pose. I love legend of zelda, so it automaticly gets 5 stars. but i reduced it to 4 cuz it only had the following:zelda, link, saria, ganon, deku scrub, link in a pose, a garon, and a tektite. i realy like twighlight princess, and wind waker, but it only had ocarina of time (also a great game). I think you should buy it if you want a blast from the past, or u r a total nerd(i'm a nerd :]).
