5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Perspective On Da Vinci, May 4, 2006
This review is from: Draw Like Da Vinci (Masterclass) (Masterclass (Cassell)) (Paperback)
This book is fascinating material for just about any artist who draws or paints. The techniques and skills that Da Vinci practiced and taught are highlighted here in a format that is simple to read and digest. The artist/author shows examples of how Da Vinci drew, what materials he used, and his most important techniques. There are even exercises that allow you to experience the techniques gleaned from Da Vinci. I can't imagine an artist who would not enjoy this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars a wish for documentation, bibliography, or further reading, December 23, 2011
This review is from: Draw Like Da Vinci (Masterclass) (Masterclass (Cassell)) (Paperback)

I found this book when doing research into historic silverpoint drawing techniques. while a fantastic read, and well done, i would love to have had a bibliography or some citations of where much of the information came from. as a research material, i cannot use it as it cites no specific historical sources of further research. As a "yes, i am interested in this, where can i go for further reading and research" it gives few clues.

I have attempted to contact the author for further information with no luck.

Excellent practice exercises and examples. I think after practicing you could draw in the manner of DaVinci.
