Xtreme-ly Excellent,

My children loved this book. They have been busy with this book for the past two weeks. The technique that Christopher Hart developed to teach young artists is a winner. Highly recommended

What?!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Draw Manga Monsters! (XTreme Art) (Paperback)
This book is not manga not at all. The art is way to chidish and cartoony. If you want to learn real manga try the "How to draw more manga" book by Katy Coope. It teaches how to draw manga monsters and people. Plus it is real art not these cartoons by Mr.Hart!

This book was taken out of the school library by one of my daycare children. All 5 of the children that I watch have been enjoying it. If you are a much older child and are looking for more, this might not be the book for you. I agree with another reviewer. Using this kind of book can really help kids to draw and make them feel good about themselves. All the kids that have used it have made very nice pictures (they range from 2nd to 5th grade)

My children hate it,

I bought my son this book, and he told me that I'm the worst parent ever. He then ran away from home and now I have no son and am left with this gosh-darn book.
I give it 2 out of 5 stars. **

A big smile on the face of a kid who doesn't like to draw,

He really needed to work on his fine motor skills and has had great difficulty with other drawing books. Yet, this one just pulled him in like a magnet. For hours he was working on the various exercises and producing incredible monsters with amazing high quality. He especially liked the step by step approach so that the he could get from a blank piece of paper to the finished product...all without tracing. Now I'm looking for other books in the series.

Blah!,
This review is from: Draw Manga Monsters! (XTreme Art) (Paperback)
This book is way to american! In manga the monsters don't look like that. Manga monsters are not expressionet like the cartoons in this book. This is more of a how to draw neo-pets(which is american animated.)book.Over all this book is far to cartoony and not real manga. So if you want to just learn how to draw cartoon monsters add four more stars. If you want real manga don't buy this book.
