My 7 year old son is a budding artist. He is currently copying Todd Parr's style. This book is a wonderful segue into the art world. it's accessible, interesting and colorful. It encourages imitation. And it's related to the Picasso exhibit currently up at the DeYoung museum which my two 7 year olds and 9 year old loved!

What fun my 4-year-old and I had drawing like Picasso! He worries that his art isn't "good enough," but this book showed him anyone can be an artist. There were several age-appropriate drawings for him, plus some more advanced ones he can "grow into."
