Children love to draw, especially when they can follow simple steps. In Draw...Then Write, students follow picture and written directions to draw animals, people, and vehicles. The finished drawings provide motivation for creative writing.

Draw Then Write: Grades 4-6,
By
This review is from: Draw...Then Write, Grades 4-6 (Paperback)
My son is a reluctant writer. He cringes anytime I mention writing of any kind. This charming little work book has really put a stop to complaining and fussing about writing. He loves drawing the pictures and doesn't even mind making up the stories that go along with them. I like the fact that in the back you can find ways to add background to your pictures. It is simple and shouldn't take the place of an actual writing program, but for the reluctant writer...what a great way to give them some confidance.
