Kids love these books. I tutor, and my students adore programmed drawings. This series is high quality, but I would recommend that students who find drawing difficult not skip volumes as they increase in difficulty sequentially.
Just super great books!

Makes Handwiritng FUN!,
By Em "Homeschool Momma" (Big Island) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Draw Write Now, Book 5: The United States, from Sea to Sea, Moving Forward (Draw-Write-Now) (Paperback)
This series is one of my all time favorite homeschool finds! Simple step by step drawing and copy work. My youngest son started book 1 in preschool. His drawings were adorable but pretty much unrecognizable. But, he persisted and now a year later is becoming quite the artist! Plus his handwriting is great now and I know that these helped him learn to read.
The best part about it is he LOVES to do it! It's a treat for him! Who knew handwriting could be fun! We've got almost every book now. After he finishes a book, we pick out the best section or two and make his `own' book by gluing the drawings and copy-work onto construction paper and putting it all in a clear report folder. He's so proud!

Very good ideas for teaching children to draw the US Map and American icons. Handwriting practice is included in each lesson. Looks very user friendly.

I love this program for teaching kids to draw! It is also full of great bits of trivia as well as suggested books to read. The handwriting practice is great too. It is a wonderful, easy program to use!

O.K. FOR YOUNGER KIDS,
By A Customer
This review is from: Draw Write Now, Book 5: The United States, from Sea to Sea, Moving Forward (Draw-Write-Now) (Paperback)
This book is rated as being for 4 to 8 year olds, but I would narrow that down to being for 4 or 5 year olds who are just learning how to write and draw. Definitely too juvenile for older kids.
