This review is from: Drawing Inferences from Self-Selected Samples (Hardcover)
Mathematical level: Varies.
This book consists of several discussions, which will interest different audiences. e.g. Burton Singer's chapter on evaluating treatment programs for heroin addiction, s a chapter on selection modeling vs. mixture modeling with nonignorable nonresponse by Glynn, Laird and Rubin. All the authors and discussants are renowned statisticians, and the discussions are interesting and thought provoking. The book is somewhat marred by its format, which is somewhat unclear (i.e. there are sections labeled discussion, and comment, and it isn't always clear who is saying what about what), but, overall, I recommend the book. |
