5.0 out of 5 stars Disaster Or Fun
This Game called Drawn To Life is really slow. It's still fun but real slow.
When my mom plays this game on the wii it's better. I do like the features. I also like how easy it is to draw on the ds than on the wii.

The reason I rated this game with a 5 star fun is because I had a blast playing it. This game had good graphics and the overall game was nice, but the problem was the ending. I just want to give you a warning if your gonna buy this game, becauseit has a sad ending. I have had many DS games. The one that almost made me cry was Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team for DS. But when I reached the end of this game, I realized that this was by far the saddeset game I ever played. And when my Mom asked what was wrong after I told her I was sad, I started crying! Now, I'm a bit sensitive so I'm not sure if other people will think its sad. But I did. So be careful if you buy it and brace yourself for the end.

1.0 out of 5 stars Parents Watch Out! Should not be rated E for Everyone, February 18, 2010
By
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Drawn To Life Next Chapter (Video Game)
My 10 year old daughter was so traumatized by the ending that all she could do
was sit, shake and cry after finishing the game. She didn't want to talk about it, but
eventually opened up. It was a very sad ending in which parents die - traumatic enough
for any kid. However, the worst part of the game is that it has kids pick (multiple choice style) at the beginning the way in which the parents die. My 10 year old felt responsible
for the deaths because she had picked certain things at the beginning of the game.
I don't know what the designers could possibly be thinking!

Note: my daughter is not extremely sensitive - she watched Goosebumps, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean etc., with no problem. She's usually the first to say "Oh Mom, it's only a movie". If it bothered her this much, it's bound to really upset a kid that's used to G ratings. Parents, in a nutshell, there are better games without the risk of severe emotional trauma - do yourself and your child a favor and just find something else for them to play.

This game should not be rated E for everyone! Young children cannot handle the ending story line. It is totally inappropriate. Especially with any sensitive child or a child who has dealt with a sudden death!!!
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS FOR A YOUNG CHILD!!!
My 10 yr old son cannot sleep and doesn't want to leave his family for fear something horrible will happen to us!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun game for the Creative, So-so Platformer for Everyone Else, December 28, 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Drawn To Life Next Chapter (Video Game)
Drawn to Life 2 is a fun, but very quick and easy platformer. The average gamer could probably beat this game in under a day or so. There is very little challenge other than a few side quests that may make you go through a level one or two times, but it's nothing hair-pulling frustrating; thus, an expert gamer would easily find themselves bored with this game.

The real fun is in getting to draw objects and items for the game itself, however, if you do not enjoy drawing or are artistically challenged, I recommend renting, borrowing, or staying away from this game as you will easily be annoyed by being asked to draw things. If you enjoy drawing or have a good imagination, this game is a lot of fun because of going around levels and going "hey wait, that thing there was drawn by me!".

I would like to also warn that the story will not make sense if you have not played the first game of the series. The game makes no attempt to fill in new players as to who the characters are and anything that happened in the first game.
In addition, I was very disappointed in the ending. It was very sad and I felt that it came out of nowhere. I feel that younger kids who play this game will not understand or make the connections as of what the ending is implying, and parents may end up getting questions with answers kids aren't ready to hear.

Overall

Pros:
It is a fun, easy game for the creative, children, or casual gamers who have played the first Drawn to Life game.

Cons:
It is very short and many gamers will find this game with very little challenge. If you are not an artistic person, this game makes a very average platformer that is not worth buying at full price. In addition, you will not understand the storyline if you have not played the first Drawn to Life game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Design it your way, October 23, 2010

You get to draw your hero, weapons, bridges, platforms, health points and whatever else you need. You can change forms from your hero to a blob or spider.
There is an evil villain named Wilfre who stole all the color in the world. You have to restore all the color by going through the levels and collecting color drops. Then you go to a colorless spot and you tap the screen and you will begin coloring. There are enemies to try and stop you and you have to defeat them. You can gain health by collecting whatever you drew as your health points to keep yourself alive.
It is somewhat challenging because of the obstacles in your way. It is fun and entertaining because it lets you create and design everything your way.

Our pre-teen sons have the first Drawn to Life and really enjoyed it. We got this for Christmas for them. It came quickly, and they have enjoyed it the last couple of days since receiving it.

5.0 out of 5 stars the fun game, November 17, 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Drawn To Life Next Chapter (Video Game)
Drawn to Life is when you create your own character and your own weapons and drawl it on your dsi then go on missions to save the village and bring back the color.
You collect points and these bags full of color.
If the rat bites you or hits you, you lose some of your color and then you would have to go to this red square to get your color back.
Now if you lose all of your colors and can't find a red square you end up dying and would have to start the mission all over again.
In order to stop the rats from killing you use your weapons you created.
If you are done with the mission you would see a floating bottle full of color and if you walk through it you would be done with the mission.
You return to the village and the bags of color you had collected on the mission you just completed and throw them on the houses that have no color.
I would have to give this game 5 stars.
