1.0 out of 5 stars silly, vague, un-erotic., November 2, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Drawn Together (Black Lace) (Mass Market Paperback)
Granted, i like lots of explicit sex in my erotic novels, and tend to find insistent marriage proposals after one-night stands creepy and off-putting. this may not be you. for me, "drawn together" fails to satisfy on every possible level.
1. the heroine is a wimp whose world is full of jealousy and ill-will, and the book doesn't harness all that bad energy for any good sexual release.
2. the book tries to focus on the love between the insecure heroine and her dopey boy-toy, but their relationship is devoid of depth or interest, and, unfortunately, almost entirely devoid of sex as well.
3. the sex is repetitive, unimaginative, and vague.
4. the writing is dreadful. somebody really needs to delete the words "rampant" and "rampantly" from this author's vocabulary.
5. pet peeve trigger- there's a latina sidekick whose endlessly mothering dialogue is improbably larded with italicized inanities as "caramba, chicita! so now you are famous, yes? Does your Senor Eric like them, too?"
all in all, it's just a silly book with no sexual thrills. readers more interested in explicit description and bold, brave heroines should check out black lace's "up to no good".

4.0 out of 5 stars Romance, June 28, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Drawn Together (Black Lace) (Mass Market Paperback)
Besides having good character development, Drawn Together has an engrossing plot + explicit scenes written by and for a woman! I like the heroine Tanya Trevino and her alter ego, Katrina Cortez, the latter being a daring and COMIC BOOK HEROINE! The Dallas scenes are also well drawn in this superior Black Lace Novel!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sultry ... hot ... fast paced Teaxas style erotica ...., June 9, 2003

Tanya, our graphic artist heroine, has everything a young woman should desire, living in luxury with a wealthy young banker, working at a small prominent studio where she gets to let her imagination run wild on the pages of a new spicy adult comic book.....

So what could possibly go wrong ......

Well for starters, her boyfriend is not a supportive of her talent as she should have expected, her boss started to 'lech' for her while trying to steal creative credit for her work, and .. well .. yes there appears on the scene another graphic artist, a much younger man named Stephan, who was just too too yummie fro Tanya to ignore ....

The author takes the reader along with Tanya as she struggles for her professional identity with a real life story that could be taken right out of the day to day activities of many modern women ...

Easy summertime reading to while away a sultry afternoon .....
