A MUST FOR EVERY FICTION WRITER!,
By Cheryl Norman "Cheryl Norman" (Florida, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Dreaded Synopsis (Paperback)
This concise, well-written book simplifies the process of composing a synopsis to show your story at its best advantage. Besides being a marketing tool, THE DREADED SYNOPSIS helps me early in the writing process as a plotting aid, too. I recommend this book to all fiction writers!

A must have for a writer's how to shelf,
By Skye Taylor "SkyeWriter" (St. Augustine, Fl) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Dreaded Synopsis (Paperback)
This is a great resource, for either new writers who've never done a synopsis before and don't know where to begin or for more experienced writers who have never liked writing them in the first place. In down to earth, easy to follow style, Ms Sinclair guides you through the process, highlighting areas of importance and offering suggestions and examples. Every writer has a shelf devoted to books on the craft of writing and this book should definitely be among them.

This review is from: The Dreaded Synopsis (Paperback)
As a professional writer for more than a dozen years, I've learned there are reference books that every writer should own. The Dreaded Synopsis is definately one of them. I keep mine at hand on my desk, near my dictionary, Deb Dixon's GMC, and my Chicago Manual of Style. Written in a style that's easy to follow, with examples that make sense, this little book has helped me write book proposals that get noticed. If you want to tackle this perplexing skill, Elizabeth Sinclair's book is the best place to get started!
