Nightmares can't turn real - or can they? Teen Molly has always been plagued with nightmares of drowning - to the point that she jeopardizes her high school graduation and perfect academic records by refusing to get into the water. When one of the boys in her dreams turns up in the real world and nearly drowns her, Molly flees to her stepmother and father's new home in Maine - only to find the past follows closely behind. Kathryn Reiss has made a name for herself in previous tales of timeslip and supernatural events and Dreadful Sorry represents another powerful contribution to the genre.

This book is one of my absolute favorites. If I were a producer, I would get this story into a movie without a second thought. The book is about a young girl named Molly who has waterphobia eversince she was little. One day, she met her best friend's cousin, Jared, and when they were a party together, she gets thrown into a pool by HIM. Ever since then, she starts seeing hallucinations while she's awake, other than just the bad dreams she's been having before. Read it, I totally recommend it. It's one of the best stores, I think.

This is certainly one of the best scary books I have ever read. This book was given to me by a friend and it was the perfect choice. It was scary, but in perfect doeses, fast-paced and a definite page-turner. I really, really loved it! I highly. HIGHLY reccomned it to any one seeking a thrill!

This book is so awesome, its my favorite book. Once you start reading you cant put it down! I love the time period of the early 1900s so this book was freat for that too. Its very interesting to read about Molly and Jared as they go back to the early 1900s as two different people. Its not one of those mystery books where you just have to wait until the end in order to just get the answer to the mystery. Instead, it is a continual answer being given away from the middle to the end.

After reading PaperQuake, by Kathryn Reiss, I thought that all her books would rock. I don't know what to rate this: The beginning was really good and the ending was, too, but the middle was kind of boring. I didn't like Clemintine's chapters exept for her last chapter. This book WAS good though. And you should get it - just keep your patience in the middle and prepare for a happy and good ending.

Dreadful Sorry is a book for People who love to read. I wouldn't recommmend it for anyone unde 10. It is full of excitement and mystery like on what you think will happen next. It is about a girl who dreams of ghost and drowning. She stays with her dad in this old Victorian style house. Then for some strange reason she starts dreaming about a girl (Clemintine). SHe dreams her whole life up till where Clemintine drowns in a boat wreck. The girl then starts findig out why this is happening and helps a few "friends" along the way. You'll have to read the book to find out what happens. This book is for people who like mystery and ghost like me. You'll never want to put it down! I hope that you will read this book,Dreadful Sorry.

I first read this book I was in the 6th grade, and I recently bought it and read it again. I have to say, I liked it better the first time round. But that might have been because I was younger, and this book seems suited for the pre-teen, young teen audience.

The book I recently bought was different from when I read it in 6th grade--the cover was different, and I was disappointed because this edition seemed cheaply made--the cover was flimsy, and the binding wasn't very tight. Oh, well, that doesn't matter too much. Onto the story.

This is the story of Molly, who is extremely afraid of water and has had the same nightmare over and over for as long as long as she can remember. Then she meets Jared, her friend's cousin, and she has a strange urge to call him "Hob" and they both feel like they already know each other, even though they have never met before.

Molly goes to her friend's pool party, and Jared is there. When she won't get into the pool, he suddenly grabs her and throws her in the water. She sinks to the bottom and blacks out. Luckily Jared gives her mouth-to-mouth and she's ok. Molly decides to visit her dad and new stepmom in Maine for the summer, partly to recover from her scare. She is furious with Jared, and never wants to see him again.

When Molly arrives in the little town in Maine, strange things begin happening to her. She experiences something like flashbacks, except she is not herself--she is Clementine, a girl who lived in the same house as Molly's father with her uncle's family, a long time ago. Molly also realizes that the nightmares she has been experiencing are connected with Clementine and her house.

Jared comes to visit Molly in Maine, and tells her that he has been experiencing the same feelings, about a young man named Hob, who knew Clementine. Something tragic happened in this little town involving both Clementine and Hob, and Molly and Jared begin to piece together the clues, while finding that their feelings for each other have been growing stronger.

i'm not sure that words can express what a powerful story this is. i'm 18 years old now, and i first read this book years ago - to this day this remains one of my all-time favourite books. This story is one that will stay with you a long time ('haunt' would be an appropriate pun ;) ). It's very well written, and the Molly/Clementine characters are excellently depicted and drawn out. Read it for yourself, and pass it on to all your friends to read; it's a book that i'm sure everyone would enjoy.

about the movie idea, i've thought the same thing, only i'd hope that whoever did it doesn't deviate too much from the actual book; i think it's a great idea. it's a unique story, you don't see many like it especially at the movies. it's a simple ghost story, albeit a VERY good one.

if you have any hesitations about reading or giving this book, banish them. RECOMMENDED FOR EVERYONE! A FANTASTIC BOOK.

I just loved this book! After reading Dreadful Sorry I feel in love with the author Kathyrn Reiss who write this book. She is an amazing author and this book is also amazing. I highly recommend it.

The book Dreadful Sorry is one of the best books I have ever read. I liked all of the characters and each one, I thought, made the book even more interesting. The book is about a girl named Molly who is afraid of swimming because of a girl named Clementine Horn who is in Molly's very realistic dreams(or more like nightmares.) This book is very, very, very, very(you get the point) good. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. This book was very good and I recomend it to everyone. Kathryn is a GREAT author. The next book I am planning to read of hers is the glass windows book. READ THIS BOOK! YOU WILL LOVE IT, I GUARENTEE!
