The Dream Academy was a pop-rock trio from England, very reminiscent of Aztec Camera. This eponymous first album of theirs went as high as #20 on the Billboard charts when originally issued in 1985.

Dream Academy Must Have for 80's music,

All three albums from Dream Academy are great in my opinion. Looks like this has been re-released. I've gone through music periods starting from the 60's and I feel that there was a resurgence of passion in the 80's. I recommend this band for anyone's collection that might include the Furs, Fixx, Duran Duran. This is more sublime and a real treat.

Beautiful, Ethereal Album,

I first had this as a kid in the mid 80s in vinyl form, and it's still one of my favorite albums. While I grew to like their later releases, I never felt they topped their debut. If you're reading this review, you probably already know 'Life In a Northern Town'...it, and 'This World' and 'The Party' are my personal favorites.
