Dianne and Cole Selby have worked hard and now have the largest, most prosperous cattle ranch in the area, but for how long? Their family and friends are large, happy, close and safe, but can and will it last?

Evil lurks and continues seemingly unchecked in the form of Portia and Chester, a couple so greedy and jealous they will stop short of nothing, even multiple murders if necessary. They are determined to drive out the Selbys even if they have to lie, cheat and do horribly evil things. Chester has two of his sons working with him and of course his biggest asset of all is his wife (or is she really a liability?). A big surprise comes from two of the evil family's children. The reader will enjoy the challenge this brings.

Ardith has finally found love and happiness, but can she keep it? Takes Many Horses has a life changing experience as does the oldest Chadwick son, Trenton. However, probably the biggest, most suspenseful moment comes when Trenton suddenly is done away with very suspiciously.

Dianne is having a hard time allowing Cole to be the head of her home, the leader of the ranch. She is so strong willed that she has nearly cost them their marriage, but can she learn? WILL she even try? Tracie keeps the reader on the edge of their seats!

Tracie has managed to incorporate many different races, cultures and surprises in this book in spite of the historical and spiritual emphasis. The Indians still face problems and are now living on reservations to which many of them recoil. I can see several more books in this series.

Thanks again, Tracie Peterson.

I really liked this series. It kept my interest through all four books. It's difficult to find Christian novels that hold my interest (and I don't want to read secular ones because of the language, etc.)

Wonderful!! The third in the series, Heirs of Montana, To Dream Anew.Best books I've read in a long time! I just love reading about our Lord's words in Tracie Peterson's books. There are so many in the series who follow the Lord's teaching, I don't think I've ever seen anyone more of a Christian, except for my own husband, than some of the people in this story! It makes me happy to read about their faith. There are such good characters supporting the hero and heroine, Diane and Cole, they all just seem to fit together. Of course there is always a thorn to go along with the roses, and there are several real bad ones in To Dream Anew! One of them, a woman, you just have to read to believe how very bad she is! She's meaner than four or five men put together. Never seen anyone like her! The story is highly suspenseful. A very enjoyable read. I highly recommend this series!

The first two books in this series were examples of masterful storytelling. By the third book, the author's Christian message (to which I have no objection in theory), begins to get in the way of the story, to the point that the narrative slows down dramatically with so many paragraphs of storytelling interspersed with Biblical references. By the fourth book, it has become practically a Sunday School lesson, losing much impact. Still worth reading, but it got harder to finish as the series went on.

Although I enjoyed this book, I feel it's the weakest in the Heirs of Montana series (so far - there's one more!). We are inside too many characters' heads in this novel. With that many points of view, events felt rushed and not fully explored as a means of character development - as if Peterson had to cram a certain number of plot elements into the book. There are some excellent insights into how Cole thinks and the unexpected transformation of Takes Many Horses that I would have liked to see expanded upon. Still looking forward to the next one!

This book was a page turner! I could hardly put it down! I love the way the writer makes the story flow and how she makes it so real! She has become one of my favorites! I must admit that the first book in this series is a little sad but as the story goes on it gets better! I also love the way she always seems to have most of her characters believe in God! Reading these books have definitely help me dial with some of my own personal problems as a woman! Hope you are blessed by them as much as I've been! Happy reading!

I love all of the life lessons explained in this book. How each personality grew a deep faith from all different ways in their lives. Life can be so hard emotionally unless you choose to have hope in more than your own strengths.
I love this series of Heirs of Montana. I would recommend this for all readers that want to know history of earlier settlers. This book took you along the good & bad journey of great characters. Tacie Peterson is one of my favorites in Christian Fiction books.
