5 minutes to defeat,
This review is from: Dream Baby Appliance Lock - Great for Oven, Microwave and Refrigerator (Baby Product)
I bought one of these from a local hardware store to keep my 2 and 3 year old out of the fridge. My 3 year old is autistic and figured out how to bypass it in 5 minutes. now all its good for is a warning that he's in the fridge because we can hear it "pop" as he gets past it.

So we bought this thing to keep out our 2 (almost 3) daughter out of the fridge. We had already had a Safety First Fridge lock that lasted about 6 months before the locking mechanism exploded. Not joking it shattered on my wife and made a sound so loud that I thought a gun had gone off. So we stewed for a few months over what to get next. All the while our daughter is literally climbing into the fridge to get her food and causing chaos. So we looked at the options and read the reviews. We thought the mother of the autistic kid was full of it. But she is right to a degree. This product lasted not 5 minutes but more like a week before we figured out the flaw. It seems all you have to do with this lock is pull the fridge handle and the lock will pop. Then it is open season on havoc in the fridge. Well, after 2 weeks of having the product our daughter in a normal 2 year old rage removed the clasp. That's right a toddler took apart something it took me about 2 hours to figure out. Not only is the adhesive garbage and the leaver/clasp weak but the locking prongs don't lock. I am through with locks and will just have to keep her out of the fridge the old fashioned way. By telling her the fridge monster will get her. J/K But seriously I am through with these products they don't last and aren't worth, not even how cheap, the money. Maybe it is a good sign, now I can ask her to get me things out of the fridge while I cook.

This product could not have come sooner! My 1 yr old just started getting curious about the oven door. I have tried the other magnet lock but it did not fit our stove. I found this one and love it! Recommend to all!
