5.0 out of 5 stars The best book on dream symbols I've evaluated so far
I myself am a dream interpreter with my own dream interpreting site in which I encourage people to learn how to interpret their own dreams. This book is my #1 preference for people to consider first, because it is logical as well as spiritual. So many dream symbol books are hokey and just plain ridiculous, but this one simply makes sense and helps the dreamer better...

2.0 out of 5 stars lost dreams
I did like the book :however I think it lacked in more information on the detail of the dream meaning. It really needed to get more in depth.

I myself am a dream interpreter with my own dream interpreting site in which I encourage people to learn how to interpret their own dreams. This book is my #1 preference for people to consider first, because it is logical as well as spiritual. So many dream symbol books are hokey and just plain ridiculous, but this one simply makes sense and helps the dreamer better evaluate their dreams.

This book can help you gain better understanding of your subconscious mind's inner workings via dream interpretation so you can better follow your intuition to clear the cobwebs of confusion & uncertainty out of your life. I highly recommend this book and commend the author, Betty Bethards.

5.0 out of 5 stars MetaPhysically, this was my first book in the early '80's, October 24, 1999
This review is from: The Dream Book: Symbols for Self-Understanding (Paperback)
The Dream Book by Betty Bethards was the first book that was suggested to me for learning more of my future. It was ironic that I kept forgetting the name. Now, I rate it as the top book to get curious people to start their own adventure. I am now ordering my second copy as my first is in many pieces, worn so from much use. I prefer this Dream Book to all others that I have ever seen. It is simple and to the point. It is my opinion that Spirit will communicate to you with symbols. If you stick to one simple book of definitions, Spirit will be able to give a clearer message.

Thank You Ms Betty Bethards for being my first Guru.

Peace Gene Shafer

5.0 out of 5 stars A Spiritual and Practical Guide, July 29, 2002

This is a wonderful book which has helped me interpret my dreams. I particularly like Bethards emphasis on the spiritual--developing your higher consciousness. Using principles of eastern religion/philosophy, such as karma and reincarnation, she sees dreams, along with prayer and meditation, as a tool to help you achieve the goals you have set for yourself.
Emphasizing the need to work to achieve your goals, to focus and direct your energy towards them, to take responsibility for your own actions, she believes you can create your own destiny.
Her dream interpretations are always guiding, teaching, gentle and caring, never threatening or frightening.
I find this book an insightful, uplifting, spiritual guide, which also helps you in a practical way, as you work to attain your ambitions here on earth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Personally Insightful, March 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Dream Book: Symbols for Self-Understanding (Paperback)
The Dream Book by Betty Bethards is the most empowering and uplifting dream interpretation book I have ever read. It has inspired me to be more faithful to my dream journal because I am encouraged by the symbols in my dreams. Dream symbol meanings in other books I have read have left me feeling discouraged and not wanting to face the "me" in my dreams. Bethard's book helps me to desire knowing more of "me." I gave my last copy to a good friend and am reordering another for myself and for another good friend.

5.0 out of 5 stars BUY THIS DREAM BOOK, NO OTHER IS NEEDED, September 22, 2003
Forget about every other dream book on the market. Mostly all they do is get a bunch of dream books, look up the symbols and then come up with a bland idea of what something means. Betty Bethards is very, very different! Betty is an incredible psychic and has written many books on the subject including Be Your own Guru. She is a psychic first, not a book writer. These interpretations go into the depth of your soul defining experiences you explain through your won dreams. Reading her interpretations at times will give you chills as you get that "aha" moment, realizing something occurring in your life was bothering you, but right beneath the surface. You did not realize it yet. I have practically got this book memorized. It is that good

5.0 out of 5 stars A "Positive" interpretation of your dreams., February 1, 2001

This review is from: The Dream Book: Symbols for Self-Understanding (Paperback)
Most dream books it seems are often very negative. This book, in my humble opinion, is truly positive and offers a great amount of insight into ones self, providing you are willing to look in. Ms. Bethards has taught me that all my dreams are about me and there are no scarry dreams only some messages from the other side need to be louder than others because we often refuse to look in the mirror and face life from the inside out. This book has truly been a tool for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a loving guide to my dreams., January 27, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Dream Book: Symbols for Self-Understanding (Paperback)
There are many astounding things about this book. One astounding thing is that the symbols interpreted in the book are universal. I dream something, I look it up, the explanation in the book is true. Another astounding thing about this book is that as I grow and change, I find new meanings in my dreams and the book continues to explain them. The first 50+ pages are full of excellent insights as to "why we are here" and what life is all about. All other dream books I've read pale in comparison to Betty Bethards's book. I've given the book to several friends, because every time I lend it out I don't get it back.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tremendous Insight, September 25, 2004
By
I purchased this book many years ago, when I was a regular attendee at Betty's seminars in Santa Rosa, California. If I was being COMPLETELY honest with myself when I read the meanings, her explanation of the symbols made more sense than any other book on dreams I have ever read. The interpretations rang so true, and cut through any denial I may have had about my state of being. You have to WANT to hear the message in this book in order to appreciate it.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT!!!, September 14, 2003
This review is from: The Dream Book: Symbols for Self-Understanding (Paperback)
This is the one of the best dream interpretation books out there. In the beginning it shows you what kinds of dreams there are, how they work and also 3 free tools on self-understanding. The interpretations of the dream symbols make sense because they are all about you. For example, if you dreamt about your Grandmother the dream would not be about your Grandmother, but rather the wiser part of yourself! Get it? If you are interested in interpreting your dreams, go ahead and buy it!

This review is from: The Dream Book: Symbols for Self-Understanding (Paperback)
This book has done nothing short of changing my life. I began decoding my dreams seven months ago with the help of this extraordinary book. Since then, I have begun to understand my "soul" purpose in life. It has led me to work with my guides and teachers in a way I could not comprehend previously. My sincere gratitude goes to Ms. Bethards for doing this compelling work and assisting me in releasing the very nature of my essence.
