Jack shows much versatility!,

I've followed Jack's career since the Jefferson Airplane days, been an avid Hot Tuna fan, and enjoy the departure from his traditional blues style. I love Tuna, but here Jack shows he can play anything and everything. There's a hint of Little Feat's funk on a few songs, R&B, a dash of country, and good solid Rock and Roll. Here he shows strong songwriting ability and he has quite an outstanding ensemble of musicians. The more I listen, the more I like this CD.

I wasn't expecting much from this CD. I've often thought Jack was the only one keeping the Jefferson airplane musically afloat. I've had this on my ipod (yes I bought it!) for about week now and it keeps growing on me. The track Sweden which closes the CD is great, wonder guitars. This CD should stand up in any record collection along side the best Little Feat ,Gov't Mule and The Ban

Jack Casady is wonderful on this CD. IF you're a Jack fan, you'll feel his eyebrows as they go up and down with every note.

Jack Casady made a great album here. You won't get Jefferson Airplane or Jefferson Starship or Hot Tuna. You get an eclectic set of twelve great songs. Who You Are and Sweden are fantastic rockers, Weight of Sin and Dead Letter Box are great blues songs.By your side is countryesque and Outside is a a great instrumental showing off the great bass playing of Casady. Most of the rest of the songs sound like The Eagles during their bluesy period. All the songs are great, no duds. I think this album would appeal to a wide audience as it is just well crafted great music. He had a great cast of guest stars to help him put this together. Jack proves he had a lot more in him than people knew. Super good, a gem that should be in your collection.

This is the CD music I expected from such a fantastic musician as Jack Casady. He has brought a fine group of musicians that I love together for a good romp in the studio playing some great songs. As far as I can tell Jack wrote all the songs and his love of bass guitar shows through it all. The instrumental is worth the price of the CD on it's own. The first time I heard this instrumental the hair stood up on my arms. I hope he gives us more music in the future.

Jack Casady is the best bass guitar player ever. (He also played on Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland album which is some of HIS best as well).
