I am not a professional (an architect or decorator) so my point of view is one of an amateur that used this book to choose options for his own home.

This book has a very good selection of floor examples, that may help one who wants to select materials and designs for the floor of his home. It also provides good hints on the use and selection of materials, that helps to make your own choices.

Of the books I bought, for the purpose of designing my own home, this one had the best examples.

AS AN ASID INTERIOR DESIGNER I FIND THIS BOOK TO BE A GREAT TOOL FOR MY CLIENTS. IT'S LAY OUT IS SIMPLE AND THE DISCUSION REGARDING DIFFERENT FLOOR MATERIALS IS TO THE POINT. THE PHOTOS ARE GREAT. IT MAKES MY IDEAS EASY TO CONVEY. PHOTOS ARE CRISP AND THE SPAN OF THE SHOTS ARE SHOWN IN ACTUAL ROOMS NOT JUST AS SAMPLES OR VINETTES. COVER COLOR IS UNUSUAL, DON'T LET IT DISWADE YOU FROM OWNING THIS BOOK, IT'S GOT GREAT TREASURES INSIDE!
