All of Will's efforts are stupendous...but this..little gem..hasn't been topped yet. It certainly deserves more than 5 stars! Every single song..and I do mean every single song..is magnificent! Smooth grooves...mellow melodies! The man's voice is an absolute wonder...

At the time that I first heard this album I was working at a record store in Houston. It was then, as it is now my all time favorite album. The album runs through the complete emotions of a man from that first meeting of a woman to the pain of a break up (you have to really listen to get a full understanding).

If you consider yourself a fan of good music you owe it to yourself to get this CD.

Will is one of the most underrated male artists in recent history. He gets almost no love in the U.S., probably because he can't really be pigeonholed into one category or neatly packaged in a radio playlist. I consider Will a Jazz artist, but he definitely has an R&B sensibility. He has enjoyed some success periodically, mostly in the adult contemporary format, but this man is a fantastic vocalist. I think his biggest hit to date was a duet with Rochelle Ferrell "Nothing Has Ever Felt Like This" from his later CD "Love's the Place To Be."

I bought this CD for his cover of Angela Bofill's "I Try" and was pleasantly surprised to discover several really good tracks. I remember seeing the striking black and white video for "I Try." I was impressed by his voice, phrasing and bearing. I once heard a live version of that song done as a duet with Will and Ms. Bofill. It was absolutely delightful.

Will's interpretation of the standard "For All We Know" is stellar. I also really like "She" and "I go Crazy."

will downing is the best male singer of all times the best male jazz singer in the world today ; he has no true rivals. just listen to a dream fulfilled and you will love him for ever just as me and my wife do listen to every word in the album on every song with some close she love you forever. bet ya

This was Will's third CD and (unapolagetically) a very jazzy one. "I Go Crazy", "She", "I Try" and "I'll Wait" are the standout numbers but the other six songs are not bad either. This CD set a prototype for the equally superb follow-ups "Moods" and "Love's The Place To Be". A jazz balladeer who deserves better.

I have been a fan of Will's for quite some time. I'm a singer as well, so hearing this album solidified me as a Will Downing fanatic. I must admit the only song that I didn't like on this CD was and still to this day is "The World Is a Ghetto". Nothing to do with his voice just the lyric content turned me completely off. "I Tried" the Angela Bofil classic leaves no comparison when Will's smooth lush vocals delicatley lay on those words. I then knew what inflections and pitch and great singing was all about. For any upcoming gig I have to play this is one to get me going. I'm honored to even write this, so please listen for yourself. If you are a singer of any sort or not, your spirit will be moved. I can't wait for the new CD that will be out next week. Peace/within

Please pick up this CD - for new Will Downing fans, it will well acquaint you with his musical talent and, I promise, will have you keep going back for more of his CDs. For all of my fellow long time Will Downing fans, this CD may be Will Downing's best ever. I picked up this CD when I first heard Will Downing's versions of " I Try" and "I Go Crazy". Needless to say, the rest of this CD was also worth listening to. For my fellow Old School R&B fans, please check out Will Downing's version of "The World is a Ghetto" - one song that may in time become a true Will Downing classic but at the same time keeps the integrity and spirit of the R&B classic.

I first heard this CD at a record store while shopping for other music. After hearing ONE song, I fell in love with Will Downing's voice! He's one of those singers who takes you on a whirlwind of feelings when you listen to him. This CD is great to have in your music collection when you want to unwind from a busy day, or to chill on the weekend. I look forward to hearing him live!

If you don't have this, get it NOW, Will Downing will rock your world. He can sing Mary had a little lamb and it would sound GREAT.

I would like to say thank you GOD for giving us "Will"! This album obviously was a good point in Will's life, it just showed so much of his creativity. I would also like to add that this album did alot for my life during that period. I can only say I love you Will. Keep it Up!
