A fantastic resource for understanding dreams,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Dream Game (Hardcover)
This is the second, and I think better, of Faraday's two wonderful dream interpretation books. The first ("Dream Power") covered dream interpretation techniques, but also focused on the history of dream research and the different theories on what may be the biological causes and purposes of dreaming. This later book aims primarily at dream interpretation itself, how to understand what your dreams are telling you and using that to improve your life. It's very readable, not at all clinical, and is quite likely to inspire you to start a dream journal. Both books are great, but I came to this one first and it made a lasting impression on me, so I give it the sentimental edge. But check 'em both out if you're at all interested in this subject!

Thirty-five years later, still the best book I ever read on this subject,
This review is from: The Dream Game (Paperback)
Thirty five years later, and being now a health professionnal, this is still the best, most intriguing, most eye-opening, most useful book I've ever read on how to interpret one's own dreams

This review is from: The Dream Game (Paperback)
This book is the most practical and easy to use dream interpretation book I have ever come across. I have read many books over the years, and this is the only one which teaches you to personalise your dream interpretation instead of just referring you to a dream dictionary, which is not much better than a generic horoscope in the daily times. It truly demystifies your dreams. I have got more out of the knowledge this book teaches than consulting a Jungian therapist with my dreams. Well worth it.

It's easy to read, very accessible, inspiring, not at all intimidating, and in short the best guide to interpreting one's own dreams that I've come across.

Dream Game by Ann Faraday,
This review is from: The Dream Game (Paperback)
Ann Faraday has many splended gifts. Not only does she write well, and capture and provide tremendous explanation in layman's terms, but she has a wonderful theory of what dreams can very well be all about. Her melding of the Freudian and Jungian theories is remarkable to say the very least!!
I read this book back in the late 70s early 80s at a time when dreams were extremely vivid, and sometimes inexplicable for me. I remember having a dream on one occasion while staying with friends. I was speaking another language in this dream with an individual I did not recognize. I perceived the language to be French, so I began to do some research. Much to my surprise, I found all of the translations to match the conversation flawlessly, and came to the conclusion this subconscious event was in answer to a question I had in mind during that period. In my dream, the other individual gave me the answer and as it turned out I was well directed. We should never ignore our dreams be they conscious or subconscious...I firmly believe along with many others that they are trying to tell us something very important about ourselves and our direction, and as long as we seek an answer, we will be provided one at some point, regardless of the source/resource. I sincerely hope that the re-surfacing of this book proves to be a continuation of Ann's well-deserved success. fpwisner/NY...writer of all things natural and real

A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Dream Game (Paperback)
Although it shows some dream situations (ie dreams of falling, examanation ect.)it does not cover many of them. Yet if you read in between the lines this book is resourceful.
