5.0 out of 5 stars A Beautiful Collaboration, December 31, 2002
By B. "Autumnal1334" (Mora, Minnesota) - See all my reviews
This is truly a beautiful piece of art, Gitane Demone's and Rozz Williams's voices are beautiful and their poetry takes your breath away. Dream Home Heartache is a work of art with beauty intwined in dark layers of emotions.

4.0 out of 5 stars if you love rozz williams, its a must., May 12, 2001
By Joseph Henderson (Pine Mountain, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dream Home Heartache (Audio CD)
this album is truley one of the most depressing albums i have ever heard! but it is also a great album. Rozz Williams and Gitane Demone are always a beautiful combination. this album i will recomend. this is a beautiful album made up of paino, Gitane's pretty vocals and rozz's sorrow filled voice. if you are a rozz williams fan, and you still feel Rozz Williams was "Christian Death" at their greatest! you need this album. this one is truely a uniuqe expierance in his shortend career. he gets really personal for example the song "flowers"...a sad but true testimony of his life with herion. this album will suprise you, once again of his multi talents. a truely heart breaking album.and i love it. Rest In Peace, rozz williams.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant, dark, intimate album, June 8, 2001
By Josh (Boston, NY USA) - See all my reviews
This album is a rather intimate collection of torch songs. The music here largely centers around organ and piano, occasionally adding sparse layers of ambience using other instruments. With beautifully dark and atmospheric tracks to sparse piano torch songs to an interesting cover of Hendrix's "Manic Depression" to the accordian-driven ballad "A World Apart" to the ambience of "Moon Without A Tear", the album is completely brilliant from the opening title track (a cover of Bryan Ferry's "In Every Dream Home A Heartache") to its album-closing turbulant and claustrophic reprise.

Rozz and Gitane share vocal duties here, both being in top form. Gitane provides her characteristic torch style vocals, while Rozz's vocals are in his familiar half-spoken/half-sung poetic style. The lyrics here are also very touching and personal, adding to the album's incredible level of intimacy.

This album is definitely a must have for Rozz Williams fans, as it is arguably Rozz at his most vulnerable and honest. Its gloomy and intimate atmosphere creates the ultimate album for candelight listening.
