Jimmy Demers is a rare singer. On one hand his complete mastery of vocal technique is evident throughout "Dream a Little," yet his pop sensibilities will leave you humming his tunes for weeks.

All tracks on Dream a Little showcase this unique combination. But more importantly, Jimmy puts his full heart and soul into every song. From the lead line to the 10th doubled-background-harmony part, the listener will hear - nay, FEEL - Jimmy's heart. He didn't hold back on any part of this album, and it's noticeable. It's both refreshing and soothing.

In an age where we must choose between technical proficiency or great songs, artists who do both (and do them well) are rare. Jimmy Demers is one of those rare artists. And this album is proof.

Long story short, this album is amazing. If you're into soulful, touching vocals and wonderful songs, you'll love 'Dream a Little.' If you're into technical proficiency and vocal mastery, you'll also love 'Dream a Little.'

Bottom line: You'll LOVE 'Dream a Little.'

I heard Jimmy Demers live on KRTH 101 radio in LA performing his arrangement of "Dream and Little Dream", and I was knocked out. I immediately ordered the CD and it is exactly what I anticipated. Jimmy's voice is delicious and soothing, a true balladeer. Mostly originals, every song is a gem. Jimmy is a storyteller and his body of work is filled with emotion, love and life's realities. The arrangements and productions on this project are exceptional. It's about 3 weeks since I purchased my copy and I still can't get enough of his talent. I sincerely look forward to seeing and hearing him live. If you enjoy soothing beautiful music and incredible vocals, you'll love this CD as I do.

I'm always suspicious when EVERY review gives an album five stars. Is it just the family and friends of all involved? ;-) So here is a review from someone who has no vested interest in this album.

In the past I had played this album and was always pleasantly surprised at first but then ended up not being able to finish it. Jimmy Demers is clearly an exceptional singer. An amazing range and great pitch. He can probably sing anything. But that's the problem because not every song on this album is terrific.

BUT most of the songs are great. I've uploaded this CD to my ipod except for two songs I really don't like. The first is "We Just Disagree" which sounds way too boy-bandy for a 30 something guy (I'm just guessing on the age). But the song after it, "Special" is the real clunker. Affected, drippy, and well, unlistenable.

But that leaves almost an entire album of pretty good songs, but a really great, albeit mannered, singer. If you like Sam Harris or Adam Lambert but think those two can just get too ridiculous for you, then Jimmy Demers is your guy.

Five stars for Jimmy, four for the album.

Absolutely beautiful! The voice of an Angel is the best description. If you are lost, you will be found with the vocals of Jimmy Demers. Get this one because a year from now he will be untouchable. And they said the mold was broken after Streisand...

To hear Jimmy sing, is to make your spirit soar and dream. When I close my eyes and listen to "She Knows", "We Just Disagree" and It's A Lonely World", Jimmy makes me believe that I'm "Special" and that "Maybe I" can "Save Your Love for Me" ....for "Just Another Night" ... and he sounds even better live!

I've been working in the music business for more than a decade and I've rarely seen anyone who has the vocal technique and mastery of Jimmy Demers. He has absolutely perfect pitch. His voice is a real treat. Pick this one up, you won't be sorry.

This is one of the best adult contemporary albums I have ever heard. This guy can really sing thank you!!!
The music is finally real music unlike all the computerized garbage of today. Very well produced and it does help that Jimmy is a looker. This guy is gonna be a big star. Why isn't he on MTV!!!!! There she goes and Special is my favorite but I can listen to the whole album without skipping a song. A Must Listen TOO!!!

I've had the great pleasure of hearing Jimmy perform live twice now and both times, his incredible voice moves me to tears!! He sang for our awesome Speakers and Authors Networking Group (SANG) and had all of us on our feet completely stunned at his ability to sing a capella!! For sure check out Jimmy's music - there's no other singer like him!! He's in a league of his own!!! :)
