Editorial Reviews

Review

Loved the Rainthology; am delighted this book has even more of those quirky, funny, scary pieces of nostalgia and mayhem. -- Charles Kuhn, writer

You just might have nightmares after reading some of the stories in this one — but you'll enjoy every tale. -- B. J. Callahan, reviewer

5.0 out of 5 stars A Collection Worth Reading, June 23, 2003
This review is from: Dream Makers: Stories That Won't Put You To Sleep (Paperback)
Dream Makers is a collection of poetry and short stories written by the Writers' Roundtable, the same group who produced The Sun Never Rises: A Rainthology. This prolific group continues to practice and hone their craft very successfully.

A number of stories end with a twist that takes the reader by surprise. Others explore the dark side of the human psyche. Occasionally some of the writing is a bit uneven, but overall this collection is a sequel superior to the group's first publication.

Each piece is short enough to read in one sitting. This is a great carry-along book with enough variety to appeal to most readers. If one story doesn't entertain you, another is bound to.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Dandy Collection, August 23, 2003

Vonita Wick (Phoenix, Arizona) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dream Makers: Stories That Won't Put You To Sleep (Paperback)
This is the book I've been carrying around with me. Read most of it sitting in the doctor's office - and it keeps my mind busy while I wait. Loved the story about the lady who made sock dolls. And the one about the hiker and the bear. But the most entrancing was the tragic story of the couple in the office tower on that awful day. I never much cared for poetry before, but I could understand the poems in this book - and love every one of them!!
