Some of her early career stories,
By J Davis (North Carolina) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dream Man: The Dream Comes True\Montana Man (Mass Market Paperback)
I am a fan of Barbara Delinsky when I am looking for an easy to read, weekend novel. I am particularly fond of her later works which exhibit good character development, research into the culture of different regions of the country, and interesting plots. The two stories in this book, however, The Dream Comes True and Montana Man, were written in 1990 and 1989, respectively, and clearly show the author's roots in romance novels. These stories have predictable plots with steamy sex scenes, men that display body parts such as "a forearm that was leanly muscular and spattered with hair", and women that say things such as "for an innocent cowboy, you sure know how to do some naughty things." It's fun to see how far the author has come with her craft, but I think I'll stick with her later works.

To this day, Montana Man is the best love story I've ever read. The love scene in the cabin is beautifully written. I hope you enjoy it too.
