A Lovely Vision, July 22, 2009
With some reticence, Dani Bennett signed up with [...] as a spy for the competition. She couldn't afford to be unemployed at the moment, so she went along with her boss' directives to infiltrate Bryce Delaney's organization. Dani did her best to disguise her deception, discouraging any would-be dates from gaining interest in her. Her profile wasn't very attractive and the displayed photograph hardly showed her best assets.
Never in her wildest dreams did Dani expect Bryce Delaney himself to contact her! If she refused to date him, might he realize what was going on? So, Dani went out with Bryce, fully expecting him to be just like all of the other men who'd ever shown any interest in her. They'd never seen past her physical attributes to the bright and delightful woman underneath, but Bryce was a different commodity altogether. Handsome and intelligent, Bryce seemed to value Dani for the person she was. He had an addictive appeal and Dani quickly found herself succumbing to his charm. How much longer could she continue to deceive the man with whom she was falling in love?
This contemporary romance has much to say about truth, honor, friendship and about how we may misjudge others by their appearance. The face, body and perhaps electronic profile that we display to the world may not necessarily showcase the individual inside. Those with the courage and clarity of vision to see the truth are, therefore, all the more precious.

Short and sweet but needed more bite., November 21, 2011
All the key ingredient's are met: characters you are interested in. Simple but good plot. The excitement of how is it going to turn out. Yet, it get's very repetitive and could've used some more dramatic situations that would've challenged their love for each other . There were times where I was enthralled (How and when will she break the revalation to him, the back and forth banter of this-is-my perspective vs. well-this-is-MY-perspective-of-it-all) and times where I just wanted them to stop looking in each other's eyes and get on with it, for cryin' out loud. This is the first McClone book I have read and I plan on reading more. She keeps things contemporary, loose, and knows exactly what to have her characters say. I tend to not care if people end up togethor from books or movies, but I was rooting all the way in suspense for Danica and Bryce. And if they ever make a movie out of this book, please let me play James! I'm perfect for it. McClone does a fantastic job covering BOTH sides of where Dani and Bryce are coming from, so whether you're cheering for one or the other, or togethor, this book is perfect for everyone.

Book Reviews to Go, November 6, 2009
This review is from: Dream Date with the Millionaire (Harlequin Larger Print Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
It has always been my bad luck to come across a trilogy or series either mid-way or at the end. So, of course, I have to search out any other books that go with the one I have just read. Dream Date with the Millionaire is the third in the Blind-Date Bride series and while not the best of the trilogy, it is the most realistic. The ending doesn't come "all at once" and leave you wondering how the hero and heroine got there. If you have come across this book and have not read it yet, stop and buy Nine-to-Five Bride (Book 1) and Blind-Date Baby (Book 2) before you read this book. It will make all the references more understandable and enjoyable. It was a great read, but my favorite was Blind-Date Baby by Fiona Harper.
