Dream Spiral is an excellent cd which not only relaxes but brings you to another level of music. From the beginning to the end, each song seems to be crafted uniquely with color, vibrance and depth the likes I have experienced with only a handful of musicians. The music of Dream Spiral is appropriately named as it is otherworldly, melodic and hauntingly beautiful.

I don't know what else to say about this, other than what I've just said in the headline of my review. This thing is heart-wrenchingly beautiful and easily one of the most engaging albums in my collection. Since Hilary's amplified harp is the primary instrument here I will not go into details on each piece of music. I will just say that the harp combines blissfully with beautiful violin and guitar and other orchestration for over forty two minutes to produce eight of the most beautiful and relaxing tracks of music I have ever heard.Overall this is a slow recording ideal for relaxation and rest. One piece, ISLAND SWEETS, is mid-tempo and a LITTLE BIT faster, but still fairly slow and easy. As I stated before this is a lovely recording. If you want to unwind at the end of a stressful day with beautiful and very happy music, you can't go wrong with this disk. Peace. Happy listening and God bless you.

I have had Dream Spiral since 1991, when I found it in the Nature Company. Both Dream Spiral and Edge of Forever followed me through the years and countries, and have been replaced many times due to "permanent loan" and natural elements (like falling overboard on the sailboat)...Both attended my wedding reception...They helped me through pregnancy and labor, and now rock my son to sleep...I found out I resided very close to the artist while in CA, and that made me even more of a fan, being able to see him. Hilary Stagg's art is a permanent part of my life due to it's soulful, smooth texture. I feel lucky to have found it.
