This review is from: A dream for Susan (Hardcover)
Written in 1954, this is #5 in the Jordan saga. The focus has shifted from big sister Jennifer and older sisters Gwen and Alcie to Susan, who wants to have a home and family instead of boarding school. When her father's plans to have her keep house for him in Turkey change, she's seizes the initiative and leaves school to make a place for herself and the remaining family members: her twin Neal, younger siblings Vance and Bitsy. In the process, she reconnects with the Parrish and Drayton families, providing an ongoing glimpse into their stories. Janet Lambert has been a favorite of mine since childhood, and though the stories hark back to simpler times, the emotional and moral content is still valid.
