I just saw these guys open for the Counting Crows, They are out of NY and the have a great sound. If you listen close you can hear Adam Duritz in the back ground. This group is on there way. There music is strong with well written lyrics. If you have a chance catch them live!!

A "Must Have" CD,
By Kelly "Adamsfan" (St. Louis, MO USA) - See all my reviews

I bought this CD in November of 1999. I listened to it over and over again. I seem to like it better each time I hear it. Jan. 21, 2000, I saw Joe 90 open for the Counting Crows. They are even better in person. Not as mellow as they appear on the album. To top it off, the band goes into the lobby of each concert venue and meets the fans. My husband and I also ran into Adam Hamilton (drummer/co-producer of the band) at our hotel and spoke with him. Nice guy. These guys sound great and are just plain nice. They will be going far. Grab a CD and a show or two while you can.

day dreaming,

From the coughing count-in of "Ferris Wheel", to the Nick Drake-like string introduction of "Truth", to the final scratchy amusement park organ of "Just a Dream", this record is a gem! Imagine the candycane sounds of Brian Wilson set against a Marc Bolan strut (three tracks were mixed by Tony Visconti)with Beatle brains and you'll get the idea! Well done boys, bring on the double album and get it out by Christmas.

This is an excellent album. I have no doubt that Joe 90 will be huge in a short period of time. Excellent writing, catchy songs, this CD has it all!

Pop perfect,

Every once in a while a CD comes along that has some magical endearing quality that you fall in love with on first listen. Dream This is such a CD. Release on the doomed from the start E Pluribus Unum label (owned by fake dreadlocked Adam Duritz). Dream This is a pop record has more hooks than an episode of the fishing show on ESPN 2. "Ferris Wheel" starts off the fun and the album cycles through every different emotion you can feel through Chris Seefried's nicotine stained vocals and Beatle-esque music. By the time you get to the CD closer "Just A Dream" you wonder if it really was a dream that a pop record could be this good.Highlights: "November Bombs", "Truth", "Drive", "Just A Dream", "Ferris Wheel" & "Look"

Low Stars fan?,

If you saw my review on the Low Stars album Low Stars, Chris Seefried's most recent band, here's a quick intro to this album.Unlike his first band, God's Child, Joe 90 drops most of the harder-edge electric guitar to focus more on "alternative rock" with smoother instrumentation to set off the vocals. One can see seeds of the Low Stars style, particularly "Cars Go By". But my favorites are Drive, Flatline Static (this song really grew on me), and November Bombs. A used copy is cheap, it can't hurt to give it a try.

They'll be good, but need some maturity,
By Pegi Silber (Cincinnati, OH) - See all my reviews

I saw them in Louisville when they opened for Jethro Tull. They have a lot of potential, but they lack maturity at this point. Every song had to have this big finish (it was kinda like they were 15 year olds who discovered the other noises their guitar can make besides normal music). I really do think they'll be good, and they did seem really nice (I didn't talk to them, but I saw them signing autographs), and I wish them a lot of luck. They seem to be very influenced by the Beatles, and do a nice cover of "Why don't we do it in the road." By all means, watch these guys, because they are going places, but I think their best work is yet to come.

I just saw Joe 90 in concert with Counting Crows last night--they are INCREDIBLE! This album is worth every penny, I guarantee it. After chatting with the band, I have to say: Chris, Adam, Craig, and Gary are four very talented musicians, as well as sweet guys... Five stars, all the way!
