I purchased the Dazzlers Dress Up Trunk for my niece's 3rd birthday. When it arrived I was amazed at all it included. Much more was in the trunk than the description had led me to believe. There is 1.a lavender ball gown trimmed with lace and silver sequins, 2.a hot pink silky dress with feather and silver trim, 3.a pink tutu and 4.matching pink top, both trimmed with pink flowers, 5.a purple sequiney top and 6.matching skirt, 7.a two sided top - one side is white trimmed with a pink flower (it would go with the pink tutu skirt) and the other side is red with silver trim, 8.a red and white cheerleader skirt to match the red shirt, 9.a pair of silver slippers, 10. a pair of clear and lavender backless heels trimmed with butterflies, 11. a white and silver purse, 12.white sleeves (like gloves without the hand and finger parts), 13. a pink princess hat, 14. a hot pink satiny headband, 15. a white satiny head band, 16. a tiara, 17. a wand, 18. a microphone, 19. a pearl necklace, 20. clip on earrings, 21. 4 rings, 22. 4 bangle bracelets, 23. 2 barrettes, 24. 2 hair clips, 25. red and silver pom poms. I think that I have included all the items (there is alot in this trunk!!). The trunk itself is very pretty - pink and lavender with silhouettes of fairies dancing around on it. It has holes on both ends for air circulation and handles on each end to carry it with. This is truly a wonderful product - I thought I would have to buy extra things to go in this trunk, but a lot of the things I was considering buying to add to were in the trunk when it arrived!! My niece will love this - everything is either elastic or velcro - so she can put everything on with out help. Excellent product!!

When the item arrived in the mail, I realized I had not looked closely enough at this somewhat deceptive description. Printed clearly on the packaging is "toys r us." This item is the same item as the Toys R Us Dream Dazzlers dress up box. It sells for much less on Toys R Us's website and currently has 16 reviews with an average of only 2 stars. I was looking for something of higher quality and was really disappointed that this wasn't disclosed in the description.

Okay, so I read all the reviews for this - here and at Toys R Us and purchased this anyway. Christmas was coming didn't have time to buy piecemeal. $40 at Toys R Us.... Amazon is not always the best buy out there anymore - sorry guys. BTW, I don't ever write reviews but felt I had to for this one. I'm also not a big complainer.

Yes, for $40 it's alot of things for a starter kit and my 2 1/2 year old daughter was thrilled.
However.... As other people have complained - the jewelry and shoes both had some jewels off which were in the box and can be glued back, but let's see if I ever get around to doing it before they are lost. My 2yo didn't care cause she's 2. Like everyone else, the wand broke in a day. The purple dress and the shoes were generously sized - shoes fit around a size 2 foot (my 6yo son!) These were both fine pieces. All of the rest of the clothes are really, really cheap. Worse than I expected even with the bad reviews. The cheerleader dress and wedding dress were half dresses, one on each side. These pieces all fit my 2yo who is really petite and thin. I can't see them going on her in a year, so don't really think of this as a starter kit to add on to. Most things will be destroyed or too small. Oh and feathers and seams already coming off or apart before the kids played with it. I also liked the idea of having a box for everything, however the reality is, it's just cardboard and it's not going to last anyway. Go to Ikea and get a box. Last thing,I also purchased a smaller kit from same company for $14. It had a beautiful little skirt, shoes, wand, pocketbook, and jewelry, all much nicer quality - still crap, but what you would expect if you know what I mean.

So, I'm happy that my daughter is happy, but I'll be heading to the thrift store to add a few things to this. (already have the Ikea box)

Bought for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas. She spends a lot of time changing outfits. I think they should could add a little pair of "pretend" heels. I bought heels and a boa to add to it and made it PERFECT!

I bought this for my neice this Christmas who is 3 and loves to play dress up. The photos on the page looked like cute outfits so I was mortified when my sister-in-law started to unpack the clothes and they looked like little stripper outfits. Really only one dress was acceptable for a 3 year old. Yes, my neice loved the present because she didn't understand how the outfits made her look. It was really embarrasing.

I purchased this item for my 2-1/2 year-old granddaughter for Christmas. She absolutely loved it and played with it for hours. She enjoyed all the different outfits and accessories. Some of the accessories are too small not appropriate for very young children. I would recommend this item.

Quality very, very poor. Already falling apart and seams ripped after being played with a couple of times. Compared to other dress up clothes we have, this is really the very worst!

I got this for my daughter for her third birthday. She LOVES it and plays with it every day, but several of the items have already broken and outfits have torn. I guess that is to be expected for the price for so many items. Also, some of the outfit are quite revealing and I think I little inappropriate if anyone but family was at the house while she was playing. She also have several Disney princess dresses handed down by a friend that are more durable and haven't torn at all. But of course those are more expensive. She has fun with them, but they won't last through the year probably.

not worth 50 bucks..the box and the items inside the box are very cheap...my 3 year older daughter still plays with it...but i doubt it will last longer then 6 months..i bought it 3 weeks ago and she already ripped 2 of the dresses..the shoes are falling apart...if i would of known i wouldn't of paid more then 20 bucks for it...i could go to the dollar tree and find the same outfits and shoes and jewelery

I purchased this dress up trunk for my 2.5 year old daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it! At this young age, she mostly gravitates toward one particular outfit, but I can see her growing with this trunk and using all pieces. Some of the pieces are flimsy and could break easily with a more aggressive child. Seeing my daughter dress up has influenced my son to play along as well. They dress up, sing, dance and live in an imaginary world for a while. Such fun to watch. I would recommend this product!
