I had purchased several books by Bunny Hull for my niece, but somehow I had overlooked this wonderful activity pack until recently. It is accompanied by a CD with a variety of songs in varying styles, some with a world flavor and an audio story. The book is filled with line drawings which can be colored, the written story and a variety of questions which takes a child on a journey, as the title says, of "self-discovery." How do children learn they can have a dream? How do they learn to achieve their dreams? I think they begin with a book and music like this. Something that encourages and empowers a young girl or boy, by asking them the leading questions that make them think and come to their own conclusions. This is a terrific tool for a parent or teacher who wishes to interact with their child or even an entire class of children. I'm not a parent, but I'm an aunt, who wants to be a part of helping to raise a child who will be a productive part of society. All of Bunny Hull's books and music are indeed important in that they are exceptional tools to empower our children.
