Extra, extra, read all about it!
I don't mean to sound so 20th century-ish, but I got caught up in the moment.
I'm sure you can remember watching an old movie that showed a young, energetic boy on the crowded sidewalk of New York City trying to sell a small stack of newspapers. One newspaper is held out waving in his hand...the rest clamped down under his arm. He would be wearing a snugly pair of shorts with suspenders...and a pinstripe shirt that was buttoned up to the final button. An unmatched cotton cap slightly canted on the right side of his head. As people routinely rush, (ignore) and zigzag by him like they were rehearsed, he still shouts out with enthusiasm, "Extra, extra, read all about it!" Every now and then, he gets lucky when a patron grabs a newspaper and drops a few coins in his moist hand. The young boy grins broadly, because he knows there's a tip somewhere within all those coins. He simply grabs another newspaper and shouts out those same six words.
Well, that's the way I remembered it.
Now, as we put the pedal to the metal and fast forward back to the 21st century...to the year of "NOW." There's a new book out on the market, and I would like very much for you to "read all about it!" It's a book like no other. I don't want to sound cliché, but it really is. I'm sure almost every new author would say that about their masterpiece. You can make up your own mind about mine, however, by reading it. You won't be disappointed. I even feel comfortable of saying, "satisfaction guaranteed."
