Customer Reviews

Very durable product.
Meredith Newton
I tested it and honestly, a good, strong pry will pull it off, but I don't think a baby or toddler would have the strength to remove it.
MaryAnne Lopreato
I am trying to protect my child and I thought this would be perfect.

The kit had many pieces including: plug/outlet covers, a toilet lock, 2 kinds of cabinet locks, drawer locks, a toilet lock, bath appliques (to prevent slips in the tub), and a 'balloon' to put over the tub faucet so no little heads get bumped. I usedd plenty of the items in other areas of my house and I was pleased with the product overall.

As advertised, neither better nor worse. Actually, I feel better about the purchase than I do about being badgered to review it.

All the products are good, except the faucet protector popped and the door jam is pretty cheap, but I like everything else.

So far the following items have broken; temperature fish, spout cover and toilet lock. Fish did not stand a chance against a one year old in the tub. The spout cover I have no idea what happened but it doesn't hold air anymore. The tape that secures the toilet lock to the toilet does not stand up to guests who can't figure out how to open your toilet. The door stopper is a good chew toy. The outlet plugs work but are small enough to fit in a toilet paper tube which is not recommended to have in your home. I have not installed the latches yet on my drawers in my home but it looks like a lot of work. Overall not happy.

This set has many pieces and most folks with toddlers can use them all, but not necessarily in the bathroom. The main reason I bought this was for the toilet lock. I followed the directions carefully and the thing came off the first day. Very disappointing. Even so, it was not a total loss, as I did use he cabinet lock and some of the outlet covers in other room. The thermometer is neat, but I don't use it. Was able to give the faucet cover and the butterfly no-slip stickers to someone else with a younger baby who is just transitioning to the big bath tub. Probably worth the money, but not really a bargain.

The products in this kit aren't stellar, but think about this: If you bought even HALF these product separately, you'd pay more. I had a faucet cover, toilet lock, and sliding cabinet lock in my cart (Just 3 of these 28 pieces) and I was already spending more that the $13 I paid for this whole kit. So, no matter the other items, I'm satisfied!

That being said:
-Love the toilet lock!
-Love the spout cover.
-Love the door stopper. (I expected it to look cheap from another review, but it's a nice quality!)
-I already have a perfect bath thermometer Aquatopia Deluxe Safety Bath Thermometer Alarm, Green so, I stuck the one that came in the kit in her room (It's just a pain thermometer inside a plastic fish) so that's neat that I can make sure her room stays around 68.
-I love the sliding cabinet lock; I couldn't get it off, and I have tiny knobs.
-The mini lock is okay.
-Not a fan of screw-install drawer locks in general.
-An outlet cover is an outlet cover.
-The tub swans aren't great. Half are a decent size, but the other half are like the size of quarters, and you may want to put something heavy on them until they set b/c mine's necks were so warped in the packaging that they wouldn't stay down.

So, even if you only take the great products into consideration, the price is STILL good! This is a great set!

UPDATE: Reduced star rating. ALL the swans or whatever came unstuck, AND the toilet lock (which was the main reason I bought this) also came unstuck and I know it isn't from use b/c it's on the guest toilet we NEVER use. The spout cover is still inflated and the mini lock is still stuck to my cabinet door, and I use the cabinet knob lock. The thermometer is a bust b/c it's mostly for Celsius, The drawer locks will not be used, and I still like the door stopper, though we don't use it yet.

The Dreambaby 28 Piece Bathroom Safety Kit has some neat pieces included in it. My favorite things in the kit are the non-slip bath tub appliques. My babies really like to have colors in the tub, and my older kids (5 and 3 years old) do not slip in the tub when taking showers. The box shows the appliqués as all yellow, but I have yellow stars, light blue sea horses and fish, green frogs, and dark blue penguins. Another piece I like is the bath thermometer. It is an actual thermometer, and although I do not know the ideal temperature for bath water, it has a color meter to show if the water is too hot (red), too cold (blue) or just right (green). It also doubles as a toy. The outlet plugs are clear and flat, yet you can use your fingernail to pry them out of the outlets. It only comes with 7 plugs, which is a strange number to me. The bath tub soft spout cover was something I was initially excited about, and with one modification it is a fine piece. The cover has a hole in it to allow the water to come out, but if you want to take a shower without removing the cover, then you will need to cut a slit in the top of the cover to allow you to pull the tab and get your shower head on. I do not care for the toilet lock, as my “older” kids are usually in a rush to pull the seat up and take care of their business. It is too difficult for them to get it off in a hurry, and so I do not use the latch. The Door Stopper is a foam “C” that can cup around the door. I like that when you are not using it, you can place it around the neck of the doorknob. I typically want to keep my babies contained in a certain room though, so I don’t know how much I really will use this piece. The cabinet glide lock is finicky; you have to line up both the top and the bottom just right to get it to slide.Read more ›
