The game didn't seem too bad at first. But then when I got to the riding lessons, it seemed tedious and boring. You had to keep repeating the same exercises over and over again. There really wasn't too good of a map or area where you could tell where you were when you were going around the barrels. I thought the jumping would have been exciting, but I kept getting stuck on the jump, no matter what gait I used or when I tapped the stylus to jump. There was no way out of it at all and you got dinged for supposedly not listening to the instructor!! I am not sure if this is a bug or not, I am considering contacting the tech support folks. Hopefully I get an answer. Also, I wish there you could ride more. You can only start over once before Mary supposedly gets "tired", which is pretty unrealistic. Anyway, I don't think I would recommend this game to anyone unless you are prepared for a lot of frustration and have a lot of time to waste.

do not buy this game ever!!!! it is very frustrating, boring, difficult and pointless!!!!! the training makes NO sense !!! when it asks you to jump, the horse gets stuck in the jump and you cannot go anywhere, then you supposingly didnt not listen and have to do the whole lesson over again, and it won't let you do anything else unless you complete the lesson!!!!! cleaning out the stall takes forever, grooming the horse takes ages,because you are supposed to have the green bar be full, wich indicates the horse is done being groomed with That brush, (and there is a million different brushes!!!) but it takes half an hour to complete grooming!!!!! no fun at all graphics horrible, concept terrible, and quality poor. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! i would HIGHLY reccomend my horse and me!!! my horse and me is more fun, less difficult , better graphics, and acully works and makes sense!!!

The game was fun at first, but when I got the the jumping I would always get stuck in the middle of the jump. the only way to get out of the jump was to start the lesson over. I think that it is something wrong with the game and it is not worth the money. Do not get this game.

I got this game about a month a go and it's BORING.It takes forever to groom the horse.When you do the lessons [which is all you have to do before you complete all of them]you have to go on a track and follow the rules. It took forever to do it because the horse walked SO SLOW.When you get to the jumping part it seems like fun at first,but when you try to jump the horse gets stuck in the rail and you have to start all over again.I don't think anybody should buy this game.

My mom bought me this ds game for my ds. I love horses and the pictures that they show looked like this game would be perfect. When I got it, I immediately started playing it, and was disappointed.

Grooming
The feeding and water was ok, a bit slow and boring. The brushes in grooming were ok-the names were different than what I call them when I ride and it was a little hard-you have to brush exactly where they tell you to. The hoof picking was perfect-I always play games where you pick the hooves and it is so hard to pick without touching the frog-you always have to start over when you touch the frog. It wasn't like those games. The hoof dressing was fun to do for a change.

Riding
The riding was definitely not the best. First, you get to tack up. That part was the really great. You get to put on the saddle, fasten the girth, and do everything that you would do in real life. (except for he bridle, you just put it on.) Then when I started to ride, things were not so good. To steer, you use the control pad on the left of your ds. To go forward, you click what gate you need to do at the bottom. the lady tells you what to do at the top. At first, all you do is walk, no steering or anything. It takes forever. Then, you stop between two barrels. It was boring. You keep doing this, and then when you get to jumping, it's horrible. When you do a jump, first you go into a canter (which is WAY too slow), then it goes on red, orange, yellow green, yellow, orange red. You are supposed to click the horse on the bottom when it is at green. But if you do that, your horse gets stuck in the jump and is cantering in place. The lady says good job. It is really annoying. If you click it on the yellow after the green, the lady says you jumped too late and you get a fault. IT IS SO ANNOYING!!!! (By the way, sometimes "your horse will get too tired" so you can't ride, but I always go into another profile when that happens.

Other Things
In your room, you can do other things. You can 1. look at your wardrobe and put on fresh clothes 2. have a look at your photos (??? I am doing this review a while after I got this and I don't know what the photos are), 3. you can look at you progress, awards, and achievements in riding, 4. you can go to sleep and start a new day, or 5. you can go on your computer and look at what you have learned. Another thing that you can do is go out riding and explore. I can not do this because you have to pass your first exam and I can not because of the jumping thing, so I can not say anything about this. Also if you pass your first exam, you can do "course editor". I am not sure what this is because, again, I can not pass the first exam because of my jumping problem.

It pretty much ruins the game for since I can't do the jumping, but if you just want to groom and feed, that part is fun. If you are an experienced rider like me, this may not be the game for you. If you are just looking for something to try, this might be a good idea.

pace of the game is slow. for younger people. takes too long to groom the horse. the corses you go through are good.
