2.0 out of 5 stars Playing the numbers game and waiting, December 27, 2010
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Dreamer: Zoo Keeper (Video Game)
Zoo Keeper is just like any other sim: Take care of animals and earn money.
However the zoo seems to be more focused on the zoo itself than the animals. There are no penalties for mistreating the animals by not feeding them. Also, the number of people that visit your zoo is time based, leading to the player doing the required daily activities then setting the DS down so the zoo can get more than 25 visitors a day.

Playing the game itself can be frustrating. You are limited to eight inventory spaces so the majority of your time is spent walking back and fourth to get tools and food and other objects. This is supposed to be what is getting visitors- running back and fourth to get tools and basically wasting the time needed to get more visitors. There are much better sims out there that actually run on how well you run your zoo, how happy the animals and visitors are etc instead of a mechanic that does nothing but encourage AFK play- set the DS down and let it run all night.
