5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of Fun!, June 28, 2011
This review is from: Dreamer's Syndrome: Special Edition: Into the New World (Paperback)
Dreamer's Syndrome is a book with a great high concept - by holy edict, everybody gets to be what they dreamed of being when they were ten years old, with logistical and interpersonal mayhem ensuing from there.

Dreamer's Syndrom was originally written as a monthly serial, and some of the repetitiveness of that original format remains in this collected edition, but it's overshadowed by the fun and imagination that Bousquet put into this story... which isn't to say that things don't get dark by the end. This is a morality tale as much as anything else, but even the heavy moments can't overshadow the fact that we're reading about a world with pirates and superheroes and astronauts and ruggedly handsome rangers and 140 Presidents of the United States all living next door to each other.

Give it a read. Then let Bousquet know we want the sequels he was obviously setting up at the end of this volume.
