While I think the idea of a cooling stand is great, this product would be much better if the 'storage' spaces for the remote were actually charging spaces. I thought the remotes charged when inserted, but when I got the item it's clear that in order to charge the batteries you have to remove them and put them in a small separate charging station. Not the ideal design, but technically does both cooling and charging.

This product works great and is much needed because we play our Wii constantly for hours! Love the neat glowing blue color, too!

I bought this stand a couple months ago and have to say that I'm pretty happy with it. There are some flaws that you can avoid by buying a fan and battery charger seperately, but for the price, it's a good value.

First, to address one thing I've seen in a couple reviews: The button on the front of the cooling station turns on and off the fan, the battery charger AND the light. Period. It works fine.

Also, I can tell you that the Nintendo Wii is a poorly designed machine. It can, does and will overheat a lot. I'm on my 3rd Wii right now because of overheating (thank God for warranties!). A fan, any fan, is a good choice for any Wii owner.

PROS:

- Can hook up to Wii or plug into the wall.

- Battery charger works fine.

- Fan works well.

- Since it has a traditional AA battery charger instead of just a charger that the Wiimote plugs into, it lets me charge AA batteries for things like my wireless Wii bar, and that's great.

- There is a spot for your games. I actually use the spot to store my other batteries.

CONS:

- Very loud when it runs. I thought something was wrong with the Wii when I first hooked it up.

- I thought that the Wiimote stand would function as a battery charger. Not true. There is a traditional AA battery charger on the side. (Not necessarily a 'con', but something I did not know when ordering the product).

- The Wiimote stand does not work with the most recent Wiimote sleeve, so it serves me no purpose. The nunchuck stand fits the nunchuck, but there is nowhere to put the nunchuck's chord.

All in all, a decent item at a decent price. If you're low on money and don't want to spend $50 or $60 on more expensive peripherals, this is the way to go.

Before we were constantly picking the unit up, and changing batteries every couple of days. No more! Keeps the Wii unit from falling over plus recharges the batteries. Great investment!

People, listen up: THIS STAND IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The cooling stand helps me make sure that my Wii doesn't overheat and I can now play Wii for hours! The Wii Remote compartment is perfect and the stand also holds 5 games and the Nunchuck which helps me stay organized and tidy. The battery recharger is convenient because I usually use rechargeable batteries but it's annoying to wait for them to recharge. Now I have a pair in the Remote and a pair charging at the same time!

I think I got a newer model then everyone else who bought one and left a review because mine has has no problems and is different then what people are explaining in the reviews. The sound is not loud at all. It's just like the sound the Wii makes itself. You don't even need the AC Adapter. The cable plugs into the Wii (or into the AC Adapter and into the wall) and operates off of the Wii's power. I think mine is a newer model also because mine has an on/off switch on the front. It's really easy. Even when the Wii isn't on, the power from the Wii can be used for the stand.

The stand's price had dropped 10 cents from $10 to $9.90 the day before I bought it which may have been when they started selling the newer model of this stand. THIS IS THE BEST WII ACCESSORY I OWN!!!!!!

This stand is exactly what it says it is. The only thing I don't like is the light has to be on for the fan to turn on, but it's not too bad. The fan isn't loud at all. I like that it charges rechargeable batteries and also hold the remote and a nunchuck. It plugs into the USB port in the back of the wii and it also has a USB port on the back of the stand so there's still an open one. It comes with an AC adapter to power it if it's close enough, but I don't use that. I like that it holds 5 games, but I don't like that the games are raised up.

I purchased this based on reviews from amazon and other sites. I am very pleased with the cooling stand. I have been using this for 2 weeks now and it really does keep the Wii from getting over heated. I have had no problems with the fan making a loud noise.It almost sounds like a small desk fan that's on high.It's no bother at all. When the fan is on, there's a cool blue light that the children love.Good product!

The cooling fan had gone out on our wii when everyone said it doesn't. It was a few days before Christmas and I purchased 18 wii games for my son. This gadget saved Christmas for me. I would definitely recommend.

Before I purchased this our Wii would overheat & shut down frequently, making it too frustrating to play. This device works very well, the Wii has not shut down since I purchase it. I know that others have complained about the lighted base, (it is bright) but it lets you know that you have left it on. The battery charger is nice too. Very economical way to get more enjoyment out of the Wii, I recommend this item.

I just bought this and i found that it is very quiet and looks real cool with the blue light, fan could have been much bigger but then again what more can i ask, it does what is says and also has another usb port available in it, people you really can't complain good product great price!!!
