5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Trower!, August 23, 2005
This review is from: Dreaming the Blues (Audio CD)
These CDs stand out as one of the better RT efforts in a long time, largely due to Davey Pattison's vocal work. His vocal style seems to fit RT's musical style, rhythms, and intonations better than the other vocalists I've heard on past Trower CDs.

Robin's playing is inspired, as always, and rock solid consistent. No surprises instrumentally or lyrically.

One cut in particular prompted me to replay it over and over and over. Rise Up Like the Sun is an especially soulful, flawlessly executed cut that really highlights Robin's occasionally-spartan, bluesy style and Pattison's heart-felt vocal performance. Extraordinary!
