This is an excellent read for anyone who enjoys riding motorcycles, and has had thoughts of riding one to other countries. Ted Simon has wonderful style of writing, and this book does a good job as a stand alone piece, even though it references his previous book of his around the world ride from 1973. He does well in creating images of the people he meets, and places he goes.
My only criticism is I wish he had put maps at the beginning of the chapters showing where he was at that point of his journey. This would have helped me to better understand and visualize the part of the world he was in.
