From the Inside Flap

For the past few years America has seen the rapid growth of the dream circle phenomenon, as groups of all ages gather to discuss and interpret one another?s dreams in a collective effort to understand the universal energy of the cosmos and the creative human spirit. Connie Kaplan, dream guide and spiritual counselor, is a leader in this community, and her previous book, The Woman?s Book of Dreams, has become one of its standard texts.

Kaplan?s new book, Dreams Are Letters from the Soul, shows readers that when they sleep and dream, they are actually connecting with the creative force of the universe. In addition to viewing dreams as individual experiences of personal, psychological relevance, Kaplan argues that we need to develop an understanding that in dreaming we revisit our spiritual source. She encourages us to see our dreams as encoded messages from the soul, guiding our collective spiritual growth.

Through her own moving story and the dream journals of her students and of the women in her dream circles, Kaplan describes the various forms of dreams we experience: prophetic, telepathic, ceremonial, shamanic, psychological, healing, and spiritual, to name a few. She explains how we can consciously develop access to the unseen realms of creation, which will help us crack the code of our dreams and turn our life potential into a tangible form for positive change. Dreams Are Letters from the Soul redefines the way we think about and relate to our dreams.

Format: Hardcover
Having read and loved Ms. Kaplan's first book on dreaming, THE WOMAN'S BOOK OF DREAMS, I eagerly awaited the publication of this new book. I am delighted to say that it surpassed my expectations. Connie imparts original and exciting information about dreams and dreaming that I have not encountered in other texts. The most inovative aspect of her dream wisdom is the notion that dreams come to us directly from the creative forces and energies of the universe, and that tuning into them can become a profound spiritual practice. What a relief! We are doing important spiritual work even as we sleep and dream.
The author presents a wonderful collage of her personal experiences with dreaming as a spiritual practice, excellent and clear examples of many levels of dreaming, and intriguing dream material from memebers of her various classes and Dream Circles. I believe that anyone who is interested in looking at their dreams can find a place of resonance in this book.

Connie Kaplan's most recent book is divinely inspired teachings on the deeper meanings and purposes of dreams. It goes so far above and beyond the normal personal symbolic or psychological analysis and into the spiritual realms. Our soul, through our dreams speaks to us, guides us, and helps us to remember who we really are and why we are here, both individually and collectively. Dreams model to us the shift from the egocentric level to that of a cohesive community working together for the greater good for all, which we then can manifest in our own waking reality. Quite profound!

This magical book will change the way you dream. I know that sounds like quite a claim, but it's true. Connie Kaplan's lyrical writing style draws you into the flow of dream time, radically enhancing your dreaming as a result. Kaplan is the ultimate dream guide, taking you on an unforgettable journey through 4 deepening levels of dreaming, revealing to you 13 different types of dreams that will help you understand who you are and why you are here.
This is a book you can read over and over, gaining more insight each time you read it. Keep it next to your bed on your nightstand and read a few paragraphs before you go to sleep. You'll be glad you did!
