More About the Author

Sharon Jaynes is an international conference speaker and author of sixteen books. Two of her books, Your Scars are Beautiful to God and I'm Not Good Enough...and Other Lies Women Tell Themselves, were Retailer's Choice Finalists for 2009 and 2010.

For ten years, she served as vice-president of Proverbs 31 Ministries and co-host for their daily radio program. Sharon is the co-founder of Girlfriends in God, Inc.,(www.girlfriendsinGod.com)a ministry that touches nearly 500,000 women daily through internet devotions. Sharon is also a popular guest on radio and television programs such as Revive our Hearts and Family Life. Rarely do I ever read a book like this that speaks to me and pulls me in like this one did. I like to read books written by women for women; books that deal with real-life issues both good and bad. The 5 Dreams of Every Woman is one of the most useful and spiritually rich books I have read in a long time. There were so many moments that I felt Sharon wrote just for me. I am sure that just about any woman who reads this book will have a similar experience. Sharon gives us a lot of personal stories from her life and from the lives of those close to her and she applies Biblical truth to show that God is with us no matter what.

I want to keep this review short because there is very little I can say that will do this book justice. Each woman reading it will have her own experience and will be able to reach a new level in her relationship to God. I've always known that God loves me and wants the best for me, but Sharon has highlighted scripture that really drives it home in a new way for me. I absolutely loved this book. I had such a difficult time putting it down because I did not want to let go of that feeling of peace this book gave me. The 5 Dreams of Every Woman is fantastic and a very pleasant surprise in my Christian walk.

I thought this was really a good book for those who have gone through the pain of having their dreams shattered and are struggling to build their lives over again from the ground up. The author helps us to get in touch with our dreams and desires, discern whether they are dreams worth pursuing, and the hope that God can turn our lives into something wonderful. Peppered with stories from the past and present, this book will inspire you to put the past behind and start walking into your future.
