The Stone Coyotes know how to rock!,

This review is from: Dreams of Glory (Audio CD)
I think this is an excellent cd, full of high energy rock and roll, great melodies, and great lyrics. This band is absolutely fantastic. Barbara Keith has a great voice, can really rock out on the electric guitar, and writes really good songs. The bassist and drummer provide a great rhythm, a strong driving force that will make you want to get up and dance, stomp your feet or at least get your feet tapping. Like most good music, it consists not only of really good rock music, but some stuff that leans towards folk and country. It is a bit difficult to accurately describe, but I would definitely recommend this cd to any rock fan. It is an incredibly awesome production.

Wow - Please Adopt Me!,

I received my copy of this album yesterday, and I feel like a kid in school. I am thoroughly excited about this album, and this band. First off, with all due respect, my parents are certainly not this cool. This being said, Doug had me "air-drumming" within the first two songs on the album. In an age of computer generated beats, Doug's rat-a-tat made me wish that I took drum lessons as a kid. John's guitar certainly gave the band a real pair of "balls" for lack of a better word. I think this is where some of the AC/DC comparisons have come in. I don't know how much they are warranted, but I understand it inasmuch as the guitar parts infect the band's sound with a certain electricity that absolutely rocks. Barbara's vocals are the best that I've heard from any artist in a real, real long time. In some songs, she reminds me of Patti Smith, but then I hear Lucinda Williams, Stevie Nicks, and even maybe a little Pat Benatar. All I can really say is that she is tremendously, and fabulously...cool in a real "rock-star" kind of way. I am loving this album, and strongly encouraging you to check it out.

I didn't even know of this band until i
heard them on XM Radio a few months ago, I don't know why they're not bigger than they are, it's not for lack of talent. They remind me of the early version of the Pretenders, with a dash of Lone Justice thrown in. Great mix of rockers and ballads.
