You can't imagine how I was impressed when I first heard Cinema Paradiso (an arrangement with both main theme and love theme of the wonderful film with the same title) played by Richard Stoltzman with his clarinet. The beautiful tone color, the dreaming atmosphere, the warmth and the heaven of music......all are unforgettable. (I can say that this arrangement is in the tempo that satisfy me more than the original one in movie soundtracks, even though you may say that his playing is not "official".)

Other titles are also attractive. Both rearrangements of music classics (e.g. Tears in Heaven ,The Snowman and Bach/Brahm's pieces etc.) and original music pieces(e.g. Open Sky and Blackbirds etc.) let me explore in the space of clarinet music and have different kinds of dreams.

P.S. One of my friends who is/was a music lover didn't like to hear clarinet until he heard the music on this CD. Now he also recommands and/or sends this CD to some other music lovers.

I love this album by Richard Stoltzman. It is a great companion to the other album of his that I have "Spirit". Both are wonderful for when I just want some peaceful sound to relax to and I even use when I fall asleep to. I would highly recommend this album.

This is the second CD I purchased by this artist. I love the arrangements as well as the music. Highly recommended.

I found this CD by searching the sample song included on my PC. It is SO relaxing. Perfect for a stress-reliever. Recommend playing the samples before you buy. This one is a real winner!

The clarinet is my favorite instrument and this CD is so relaxing. Pop it in while taking a hot bubble bath or having a glass of wine and it will invoke some nice "Dreams"

it was ordered from a small Amazon sub-contractor, wasn't MAILED until last week, and has not yet arrived.
so throughly unsatisfactory arrangements, but i can say nothing about the cd itself.

I'm sorry that there are some mistakes in my previous review of this CD (under the name of Copper P L Wong). Blackbirds- Blackbird/Bye Bye Blackbird are originally composed by John Lennon-Paul McCartney/Ray Henderson. "Open Sky" is an original piece by one of Richard Stoltzman's partners, Bill Douglas (One of the keyboard players of this CD. Another one is Jeremy Wall who arranged the whole CD). But anyway, the effort of a group of people make the dreams come true, as the people in Cinema Paradiso.
