most definitive book on dreams i have ever used.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Dreams: Your Magic Mirror: With Interpretations of Edgar Cayce (Paperback)
I have used this book for many years to interpret some very strange dreams. This book is one of the most accurate and definitive books on dreams I have ever used. No matter what the subject I have always been able to find an answer to my question. I have reccommended this book to a lot of people over the years. In fact I eventually lost my original copy that had a lot of dreams that I had recorded . I have used it to analyze dreams for my friends and family many times with uncanny accuracy as a result. In my opinion, if you are curious or desperately in need of dream interpretation, use this book. It will help you to sort thru your confusion' as to what your dreams mean.i

Dream Machine,
This review is from: Dreams: Your Magic Mirror: With Interpretations of Edgar Cayce (Paperback)
I am a psychologist who began reading Cayce 35 years ago. Just reading Dreams: Your Magic Mirror, stimulated my subconcsious to spontaneously create very meaningful dreams while I slept. I considered this book to have a very powerful and positive effect on the mind. Several years later I reread the book and again it resulted in profound dreams which symbolized my life challenges and previously hidden aspects of my personality. Few books can claim to effect levels of the mind like this volume does. I recommend the book to any sincere seeker of self-insight.

My Favorite Book on Dreams,
By
This review is from: Dreams: Your Magic Mirror (Hardcover)
Dream study is an important aspect of Edgar Cayce's suggestions for soul growth, especially the soul growth that leads to psychic ability. After years of dream study, one morning I awoke with a dream telling me of a stranger I would marry. The dream told me about his house, his work, and his best friend. To my amazement, I saw the man in real life the next day. The details in the dream were accurate. He is now my husband. I wrote about my experiences in my book, When We Were Gods: Insights on Atlantis, Past Lives, Angelic Beings of Light and Spiritual Awakening. In Dreams Your Magic Mirror, Sechrist describes dreams that tell the future. She also describes different dream symbols under chapter headings such as "People You Meet in Your Dreams," "Dreams of Illness and Health" and "Automobiles as Symbols" just as a dream dictionary would. There are many dictionary type books that list dream symbols alphabetically such as The Mystical, Magical, Marvelous World of Dreams and The Encyclopedia of Symbolism (Creative Breakthroughs Book). Nonetheless, Dreams Your Magic Mirror has always been my favorite book on dream interpretation because it expertly conveys Cayce's concepts on dream study. The most fundamental idea to grasp is that the dream is about the dreamer. Therefore, if you're working on understanding your own soul communications through your dreams, it helps to consider what different dream symbols may mean to you. Is a dog a friend or an attacker or the cause of allergic reactions? Depending on your experience with dogs, if you dream about the animal, it will mean something different to you than it will to someone else. In Dreams Your Magic Mirror, Sechrist not only lists and describes dream symbols, she also includes information about the dreamer when she interprets a dream. In this way, she shows how the meaning of the dream relates to the dreamer and his or her life. In effect, she gives the reader practical examples of how to interpret their own dreams based on their own lives. Although dream symbols are not listed alphabetically as they would be in a dream dictionary, there is an excellent index in Dreams Your Magic Mirror so you can look up the various symbols in relationship to the topics discussed in the book. I've used this book for so many years that I had to buy a recent printing of it because my original book became so threadbare. This review is from: DREAMS - Your Magic Mirror, with Interpretations of Edgar Cayce
This book was received in almost mint condition for a very reasonable price. Forty years ago I had purchased this same book and wanted another one for a friend. It arrived promptly in far better condition than I had expected, with author's signature and all. This book I consider one of the very best books on dreams still available today and to be able to find it in this condition with its special cover intact was amazing! And not a mark on it inside as well.

The essence of dreams??,
This review is from: Dreams: Your Magic Mirror: With Interpretations of Edgar Cayce (Paperback)
I found this book to be disappointing.. hardly any Edgar Cayce's readings in it.In addition, the book doesn't explain how dreams can be analyzed, what kind of dreams exist (1, 2, 3, of 4 dimensional (related to future, present, past?)). Recommendation: Dromen Paragnostisch verklaard (1984) By G. van der Zeeuw ISBN 9020205668 Publisher: Ankh-Hermes bv Language: Dutch |
